South Beach Grocery is a convenient mini grocery store and rustic roadhouse on the south side of the bridge. It is not very big but is open 24 hours and always clean. The place is old with hand-painted signs, a lot of color, picnic tables, and a gravel parking lot. It is connected to a very popular fish market and casual restaurant that often has a line out the door. The business is well-known for its excellent seafood, especially its fish and chips, which are cooked hot and fresh in front of you. It is not Michelin dining, but it is well-prepared good food that is best eaten outside on a big table. The menu includes items like jumbo prawns and chips, halibut and chips, clam chowder, shrimp and cheese rolls, and cooked Dungeness crab. The staff at the counter and cooking stations are patient, fast, and capable. There is an awesome variety of local beers and ciders, along with snacks, biscuits and gravy, and desserts. It is considered the biggest little country store in the county and a perfect stop on the Oregon coast.
