620 9th St, Port Orfordwe stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday. Easy parking right next to the place. All seating is outdoors but it was a gorgeous Autumn morning so that was fine. We both had a build your own breakfast, it was nice to have exactly what each of us wanted. Very filling and not overly expensive. One thing to note us that an order of toast is 2 slices, so when I ordered 2 toasts, I got 4 slices. Also be sure to specify NO BUTTER if you order the toast. I checked out the hot and cold bars, now everything with honey is no longer labeled as vegan so they fixed that issue. Staff were great and answered all our questions happily. The Crazy Norwegian's Fish & Chips
259 6th St, Port OrfordCrazy Norwegians is definitely a popular little spot — there was a line about 10 people deep out the window when we got there! The staff was doing their best to keep up with the crowd, and honestly, doing pretty good considering the chaos.
My husband got the fish & chips, I had the fish tacos, and we split a cup of chowder. Everything was good. The fish tacos had great flavor, but they were a little soggy and definitely required some creative taco-eating skills.
Luckily, the weather cooperated enough for us to grab a spot outside, which was nice because there’s not much escaping the crowd inside.
One thing I absolutely loved: everything was compostable! No piles of plastic and disposable junk — such a nice touch.
Good food, friendly service, and clearly a local favorite. Just be prepared to stand in line… apparently we weren’t the only ones who heard about it!
