Hotel deLuxe is a lovely, old but comfortable hotel with awesome vibes. The decor is tasteful, old Hollywood, extremely welcoming, and very well appointed. The unique little rooms are cute and cozy, clean though aging, with awesomely comfortable beds, beautiful fixtures, and comfortable furnishings. Some rooms are large with extremely large walk-in closets. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, with the whole place being thoroughly enjoyable. The Driftwood Lounge is a nice break, and Gracie's restaurant in the lobby is delightful, serving delicious food and drinks. The hotel is a gem, close to everything including public transit. Some noted that the neighbourhood is a bit sketchy but not too bad, and checking in and parking can be a bit of a process. While the hotel does not provide room service, the experience is great for the price. It is a hotel that people love and can't wait to visit again.

Sadly, this place is not the best. The room is dated, carpet dirty, bathroom is a closet with a tiny old barely working shower. Hot water was not possible. You could not squeeze another person into the bathroom if you tried. Beds were fine and clean, which carries it to a 3 star as that is the most important thing.

This hotel should either hire a valet or take the valet parking only signs down in the parking ramp.
