About Taborspace

Taborspace is a nonprofit, DIY community event rental space in Portland, Oregon, dedicated to fostering a welcoming and nurturing gathering place. The 36,000 square-foot historic church building hosts educational programs, wellness practitioners, and an independent coffee shop, Crema Coffee & Bakery. Taborspace is committed to cultivating connected community, a program of Mt Tabor Presbyterian Church. The space is beautiful, with a large kitchen, stage, and tech devices available. It offers multiple event rental spaces at affordable rates and hosts a variety of weekly groups, kid-friendly events, and live music, dance, and other events in the Brazilian Café. Visitors can enjoy quiet conversation, good food, and lovely, attentive service, though the vibe may change depending on scheduled events.

    The space is beautiful and was a great place to meet a friend to chat, and the crema coffee and pastry - divine! Pay attention to the schedule for events though, as the vibe changed from quiet conversation space at 10 to rowdy playroom for little kids by 11 when a kid focused event wrapped up.
