“Got some gas here, they pump it for you and you pay inside. Oh my gosh the baked goods smell so delicious. Took everything in me not to buy most of their inventory. I did grab a bacon sandwich and it was delicious! Definitely will try to stop here more often.”

“I just came across a review written by Maddie Kush, a young woman who is a singer/songwriter and lives in her van.
She trespassed all night at Grocery Outlet, sleeping in her van. She complained bitterly that she was treated rudely when discovered camping in their parking lot the next morning, and indignantly pronounced her intention to patronize other area businesses who better appreciate her business.
Nowhere does she acknowledge that trespassing is illegal and just plain wrong. As someone who lives in her van, and who camps opportunistically, you can bet that this is not the first time she’s been run off rudely by a business when discovered camping on their property.
She lists quite a number of other businesses that she intends to patronize instead of Grocery Outlet, but you can be sure that not a single one of those businesses welcomes over-night car camping in their parking lots. Frankly, she is lucky that the owner did not call the police. He would have been well within his rights to do so.
I especially enjoyed the disingenuous way that she described her trespass, saying that she was simply waiting for the store to open. For eight freaking hours? You’re camping, not waiting. And you are not entitled to a polite send off in the morning.”

“You can tell this place is well loved by the owner, who we got to meet. The food was delicious, and the prices here are lower than any other restaurant in town. Service was great, they were very kind, and offered a discount for paying in cash.
We recommend the panini and salmon spread bagel!”
