“Above and beyond customer service from employee/ manager Rich. About 8 hours into a 10 hour road trip my car battery started overheating and leaking acid. I got to Bi-Mart ten minutes before they closed, and was able to purchase a replacement battery. Unfortunately an easy swap was made much more complicated without the right tools.
Rich saw me struggling in the parking lot as he was leaving work, and let me borrow his tool kit until I got the job done. He also offered my wife and one year old son a cool seat in his car with A/C, so they didn't have to bake in the sun while I swapped the battery. Thank you The Dalles Bi-Mart, and more importantly thank you Rich! You have some good karma coming your way.”
“Seemed o.k. But unfortunately the cashier couldn't make or count back change? They had to call the supervisor for assistance. What would that person have done if the other employee wasn't there? Is this really what our society has come too. How very sad.”
“This is a cute and convenient store! I enjoy having it right down the street and I have the option to try many different things.
I do agree with others though. Most of the stuff is marked up ridiculously high considering it is from the dollar store or the Bargain Mart. I'm not sure if they really have a or if they just purchase meat to sell.
Some stuff does sit on the shelf too long, especially produce.”

“Outstanding salsa - the real deal- the kind that's cooked - not pico de gallo like they serve in Mexican restaurants with chips. A little spicy but that's the way I like it. Green or red -they sell it by the pints at the deli counter. Best salsa in The Dalles. Sometimes they have fresh guacamole which is also very good. Plus a good selection of Mexican food essentials.”

“Ive been stopping in this little market since the late 90s when the Hongs owned it.This town has been fortunate to always have good owners and managers running this business. I come by a few time a week on my way home. Some things are a little more expensive then at a retail grocery store but that's why it's a convenient store where else can you buy a can of baby formula at 1am in the Dalles id like to know. Always a welcoming staff! That counts for alot in a small town”

“I went to this gas station in The Dalles to exchange a propane empty tank for a filled up propane tank. I wanted you to know that there is a severe shortage of Helium & also Propane for tank fillups. We can usely take a empty tank down to get it filled up at Coastal store, which is usually the best prices in town. Fred Meyer store is also a good place to fill up propane tanks for: 1) Coastal is $1.79 a gallion & 2) Fred Meyers store is $1.99 a gallion for propane & you can use your Fred Meyers store card for fuel points to get help for getting a discount off when you fill up on gas in your car. Coastal fill up use to cost us around $14.79 a tank & Fred Meyers fill up use to cost us around $15.00. Now because of the shortage in stores & gas stations you can now ONLY get propane fill ups by turning in one empty propane tank for one all ready filled up propane tank now for $20.00 a tank by turning in your empty tank to the place your going to buy propane at. A suggestion for you I would like to suggest is to consider: 1) take 4 empty propane tanks down to what place you want to go to, & pay for each empty tank for exchange for $20.00 each tank exchange that equals the cost of $80.00 cash or bank card. That will allow you to have enough propane tanks filled up for heating up your home for a month & cook on stove & run your freezer & refrigerator, & also cook in your oven. You need to also get a small area heater for around $25.00 to turn it towards your bathroom door to keep your toilet tank from freezing up in winter so when it is full up you will be able to empty it out even in winter & dump it. It is really no no fun having a frozen tank that may freeze up & break & leak. It is very costly to fix or replace unless your family is like us who have learned how to repair their own toilet tanks underneath. God's Blessings for you.”
“This convenience store is located at the Chevron just off the I-84 exit. It's open 24/7 so it's a great place to stop if you need a snack, something to drink or need some gas any time of day or night. We've been stopping in here for years and the employees have always been friendly. Typical selection of products you would expect at a convenience store, including a few cool soda selections you wouldn't expect (which was really cool).”
