“My favorite pet supply store I have ever been to! They have the best dog stuffed toys! Fun pop culture references, current events, etc. Honestly the most attractive leashes/collars too. Fun prints...very Portland/PNW inspired.You can always trust their food/treat brands to be sustainable and no filler ingredients. Bulk dog treats by the pound....SO INEXPENSIVE. Lots of other treats sold individually also, meaning less packaging waste which means less expensive also.When you see a "boutique" pet shop on a popular shopping street, you would expect high "boutique" prices. Nope. I am always pleasantly shocked at how affordable my total is.Plus, all the employees will remember your pet's name and greet them with treats!!!!!”

“Wonderful place great prices they know their stuff my tank had red slime diatoms 2 other stores had ideas but didn't work cuttlefish recommended purple non sulfur bacteria I was at the point I would try anything in about a week started seeing less slime and as the weeks went on my tank looked like nothing happened all my corals sps and lps have never looked so healthy the colors pop I call this stuff miracle grow for reeftank so if any one has problems with color or algae you have to get some couldn't believe my eyes”

Here, every question was answered with thoughtful and knowledgeable replies. The products are not inexpensive, but they are not unreasonably expensive either. Let's be real here, folks: If you're adopting a living being, you don't expect to do so on a shoestring budget! There are some birds that are missing feathers because of natural causes but they are in great care and I'm sure in the next few months they will be full of beautiful feathers. I don't live or work on a farm, I have access to conveniently-delivered hay from other sources, but I go out of my way to make it to A&J's because my two little house bunnies deserve the best quality hay that stays green and fresh for much longer than pet suppliers and at 75% off the cost in of the small quantity supplies elsewhere. Even if I have to share it with other bunny homes, I am happy to support local farmers and have recommended this place to neighbors and friends with rabbits or Guinea pigs.”

“This is a locally owned company, so I definitely go in as much as I can to help support our local community.I love this place. The people are so kind. They don't mind if you bring your leashed pet in with you. The last time we were there, my dog uncharacteristically lifted his leg and did a little peeps.I apologized immediately and asked for materials to clean it up. They were so kind and wouldn't let me do it. I felt so bad, but the girl assured me it wasn't a problem and promptly cleaned it up.
