I've continued to shop this store regularly and every visit since the one prompting my original review has been nothing short of pleasant.
I've been greeted with a smile and everyone has been very upbeat. Exactly like most reviewers have reported.
Clearly there's something to be said about the quality of care they take if we contined to shop there despite a poor experience last year.

I've been to this store off and on for many years. Back when Sarah still worked there and they had the old location. It was almost always a very pleasant experience....( deleted )
I hope other customers get a better experience because they really do have great birds and care for them very well.

I was very pleased with how calm and reassuring the staff were with my boys. My one cat is very anxious and I was worried taking him to see someone different. Walbert Animal Hospital
2061 Walbert Ave, AllentownTook my cat here for the first time last week and will be continuing to use this vet! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. When we arrived there was an active husky in the waiting room that wanted to be friends with myself and my cat, but she was terrified and was crying and hissing at the advances of the dog. The staff kindly offered to place my cat behind their desk / in an open room while we waited our turn so that she would be calm and comfortable. I am extremely grateful for the care they offered us on our first vet visit! They gave her a full check up and updated her shots, as well as quickly getting back to me with estimates and appointments for my cat's required followup care for her dental surgery.

Drop offs can be chaotic and the woman in charge of the drop offs can come off as abrasive, but my pets have come back to me safely and well cared for.
Not great if you have a female, as apparently, those appointments go quickly, so be prepared to schedule several weeks out.

The instructor, Hailey, is extremely knowledgeable, patient and personable -- she made class fun. Her assistant, Zach, was very helpful and kind. My puppy loved him. What I really appreciated was the knowledge that was shared on a variety of topics: training, socialization, and what foods are dangerous -- they provided a holistic approach to training. I also like how user friendly the app is, and how easy it is to reserve for day camp, as well as overnight stays. We also love that they have so many cameras. We are always able to spot William and watch him interact and play with the other pups. Can’t say enough good things about Camp Bow Wow in Allentown.

After a 10 day board and train he came back so much more obedient and his off leash recall has improved so much (even though we did not do the off leash portion). I am so glad I used them and Cassie (our trainer) was incredible. If you have a difficult pup, I highly highly highly recommend this company!

My go-to beers are the Big in Japan Rice Lager and the Happy Enchilada Mexican Lager. They’re both incredibly crisp and refreshing, especially on a hot summer day.
The bartenders are always friendly, personable, and make everyone feel like a regular, whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth. And as dog lovers ourselves, we really appreciate how dog-friendly Sherman Street is. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a great beer with your pup by your side.
If you’re looking for excellent craft beer, great food, genuinely kind people, and a laid-back atmosphere, Sherman Street Beer Company is a must-visit. We always look forward to coming back

1801 Liberty Street, AllentownIf you haven’t been here you need to go. Stopped in Allentown on a road trip and needed a decent dinner. The menu online was just so-so and I expected it to be typical bar food. I was wrong.
There were so many choices it was hard to decide. I had the French onion soup which was so delicious and had lots of melted cheese on top. Could use a few more onions but still delicious as is.
Then I had the house salad and added salmon. The salad was so fresh and had cran-raisins, fresh blueberries and candied pecans. The portion was large. It was a gourmet salad.
The best part was the salmon was cooked to perfection. It’s a hard fish to cook and not over cook. It was moist and tasty. Kudos to the chef.
My Husband had the Cobb salad with chicken. He really liked it a lot and it was a good entree size.
Nicolette was our server. She was great. Food came out timely and she was always checking on us.
Cocktails were good too.
They do have typical bar foods like chicken wings, burger, nachos etc. so you have something for everyone.
If I lived here I would be a regular so I could try some other dishes.

Sign on the door says BYOB. We’re from NY State so that was new. We came on a Saturday about 6:00 and it was quite busy. We had a large pizza with mushrooms. Crust was thin and tasty. Sauce nice and light. Good honest pie. They have an extensive menu and most customers were ordering dinners. Service was timely and efficient. The prices are reasonable. Good place for a relaxed meal.

The Lehigh Valley Humane Society and Vet Clinic
640 Dixon St, AllentownI stopped there just to look at the animals and spend some time with them. The facility was spotless, the staff were extremely helpful, and the animals were clean. I previously adopted a dog from them who was now 14 years old. He is the best dog imaginable. I'm so happy I got him! He turned into my best friend and I love him to death.
