Allentown Cat Clinic, PC
4090 Tilghman St, AllentownWe recently moved back to the Lehigh Valley from out of state with our two cats, and The Allentown Cat Clinic made the entire transition effortless. Their communication was outstanding—clear, timely, and helpful through phone calls, emails, and text messages. They even handled the legwork of obtaining our cats’ medical records from out of state.
The clinic is easy to locate with convenient parking, and the staff is genuinely kind and welcoming. The facility is clean, calm, and thoughtfully designed to be comfortable for both cats and their people. Pricing is fair, with no pressure or upselling—just honest, collaborative discussions about treatment options. You and your cat are truly in excellent hands here.

Pet Allergy & Dermatology Specialists (Lehigh Valley Vet Dermatology)
4580 Crackersport Rd, AllentownWe took our Papillon Toby to see Dr. Depew. We had been dealing with some kind of autoimmune issue that started in March after having a dental cleaning. Our local vet had been treating him and he was getting better, but still having issues with his skin. Originally we called because his paw pads were bleeding for 3 months until we finally got it under control and they healed by July. So we had pictures and a diary of everything he went thru since March. Although he is much better now, he is still losing hair, and I wanted to get a 2nd opinion. Dr. Depew was so good with him! She spent time with us going over the pictures and his history, and we left there with a positive feeling that he is going to be fine once we wean him off the steroids. She was wonderful along with everyone else we had dealt with at the practice. It took awhile for us to get in, but they did put me on a call list for cancelations, it just never worked with our schedule, but it was well worth the wait. I'm so glad that we took him to PADS, it really gave us peace of mind.

Hamilton Animal Care
6110 Hamilton Blvd, AllentownI usually take my kitties to the Tilghman Street location but had to book at the Hamilton Street location this time. I was very pleased with how calm and reassuring the staff were with my boys. My one cat is very anxious and I was worried taking him to see someone different. I was put at ease very quickly as the staff were just as fantastic as at the other location. I can’t say enough good things about them.

Walbert Animal Hospital
2061 Walbert Ave, AllentownTook my cat here for the first time last week and will be continuing to use this vet! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. When we arrived there was an active husky in the waiting room that wanted to be friends with myself and my cat, but she was terrified and was crying and hissing at the advances of the dog. The staff kindly offered to place my cat behind their desk / in an open room while we waited our turn so that she would be calm and comfortable. I am extremely grateful for the care they offered us on our first vet visit! They gave her a full check up and updated her shots, as well as quickly getting back to me with estimates and appointments for my cat's required followup care for her dental surgery.

No Nonsense Neutering
1044 N Quebec St, AllentownThey do what they say they are going to do, with an inclusive price, possible add-on services, and for a price anyone with multiple cats or dogs can really appreciate.
Drop offs can be chaotic and the woman in charge of the drop offs can come off as abrasive, but my pets have come back to me safely and well cared for.
Not great if you have a female, as apparently, those appointments go quickly, so be prepared to schedule several weeks out.

Leader of the Pack Canine Institute
6346 Farm Bureau Rd, AllentownMy puppy recently graduated from puppy kindergarten. We both enjoyed the classes and learned a lot. The instructor, Hailey, is extremely knowledgeable, patient and personable -- she made class fun. Her assistant, Zach, was very helpful and kind. My puppy loved him. What I really appreciated was the knowledge that was shared on a variety of topics: training, socialization, and what foods are dangerous -- they provided a holistic approach to training. I highly recommend Leader of the Pack for training and also daycare. The staff is incredible -- they always greet you with a smile. Suzanne and Gabriel Sharpe

Off Leash K9 Training, Lehigh Valley
1044 N Quebec St, AllentownI cannot tell you how worth it this company is. Our dog is high energy and stubborn. After a 10 day board and train he came back so much more obedient and his off leash recall has improved so much (even though we did not do the off leash portion). I am so glad I used them and Cassie (our trainer) was incredible. If you have a difficult pup, I highly highly highly recommend this company!

We are always able to spot William and watch him interact and play with the other pups. Can’t say enough good things about Camp Bow Wow in Allentown.

Poke Kai
3337 Hamilton Blvd, AllentownPoke bowls, fried rice, cold teas (fruit or milk or green or black, with or without popping or crystal or jelly boba- teas & boba available in many flavors). The fried appetizers (lumpia, gyoza, shumai) are a little bland but are texturally on point.
The poke bowls are good- base options can go cold salad greens or warm starches. The proteins, toppings, and sauces are pretty standard. If you like avocado, be aware that they just give you a scoop of it fresh from the skin- it's not cut up at all. Also there's an extra charge if you want masago & they only give maybe a teaspoon measure, much less than I'd expect for an upcharge item.
Ordering to dine in or take out is done the same way, at the register or digital kiosk (or you can order through the app). It's the same way it works at a fast food place, except if you're dining in they'll bring the tray of food to your table. If you're new to poke, grab a pen & one of the paper slips by the register to build your bowl. All the options are on there & you can ask for extra or double of anything.
They're usually pretty quick, but not always. If you're running behind schedule this may not be your best option, even for take out.

Simpatico
27 N 7th St, AllentownSome places you go to for dinner.
Some places you go to for an experience.
Simpatico in Allentown is one of those rare places where you go for dinner… and end up talking about it the entire ride home.
From the moment we walked in, everything just felt right. Warm, welcoming, and effortlessly cool without trying too hard. The kind of place where you instantly know you're about to have a really good night.
Then the food came out… and wow.
The homemade pasta is the star. And rightfully so. You can taste the difference immediately. Fresh, perfectly textured, and the kind of pasta that makes you slow down and actually appreciate every bite. It didn’t feel heavy, it didn’t feel overdone. just clean, fresh, and incredibly well executed.
Everything we tried was amazing. Every dish felt thoughtfully put together, balanced, and fresh. Nothing felt rushed or overcomplicated, just really great ingredients handled the right way.
The drinks? Just as impressive. Creative, well-balanced, and the perfect complement to the meal. The Affumigato... Loved it
The kind of cocktails where you finish one and immediately start thinking about the next.
But what really pushed this place over the top was the owner, Jesse. Absolutely amazing.
You can tell he genuinely cares about the food, the experience, and the people walking through the door. He was welcoming, engaging, and made the entire night feel even more special. It’s rare to find that level of hospitality, and it really shows why Simpatico feels the way it does. We loved every minute of it.
If you’re someone who appreciates fresh, homemade pasta, this is your spot.
If you love great drinks, this is your spot.
If you just want a genuinely great dining experience, THIS IS YOUR SPOT.
I can’t recommend Simpatico enough and already can’t wait to go back.
