“Thanks to everyone's reviews we went here for diy dog wash. It was easy to book, affordable and I really liked the setup -adjustable temp water and no heat dryer. We have a XL dog that can easily overheat and has sensitive skin so I was so happy to see they carried fragrance free products/usually we have to bring our own. The store is jam packed with unique products and brands that are not at big box stores. Overall we had a great experience and are definitely going to come back ✨?”

“If you have a dog, you need to get yourself here! I am so in love with this sweet shop and will be stopping by every time I am in Manayunk, which is usually with my pooch since it's on our way back from hikes at the Wissahickon. This bakery has a play area which I didn't even realize until I went to write this review, and they also have the cutest cookies, treats, accessories, and goodies for your dog. The staff here was the absolute sweetest and the vibes are just very good. My dog was so happy to be there and thoroughly enjoyed her St. Paddy's Day "lucky" cookie later that day. They were having a dog party later in the day, replete with doggie beer (LOL) treats, and playtime. I am so happy to know this business exists and will absolutely be getting my dog's birthday cakes and treats from here moving forward. An excellent addition to the already very dog-friendly Manayunk. Feel free to replicate my new dream Saturday: long hike at the Wiss, brunch on a patio, and a stop by this awesome shop. Tell your dog I say hi!”
“Came in today seeking much needed help because my one cat stopped using the litterbox due to stress from my recent move. 2 wonderful individuals helped me locate several products to encourage my stubborn feline to start using the litter box again. Immediately after getting home and setting everything up the mission was extremely successful! The team members in this facility are extremely educated and helpful and I am very thankful and grateful for the information they shared with me! My cat is back to using the litter box and seems much more calm and comfortable! I absolutely love this pet store and the workers and they’ve definitely made me a life long customer!!!”

“We love Dogventure (Cool Dog Gear)! I used to only wander in once in a blue moon, but while dining out with a new puppy, I received some news about "Puppy Social" sessions that could be a good fit for my not-very-socialized and rather vocal Pomeranian. I kid you not, we now frequent Dogventure on a weekly basis (or as often as possible) - and not just for the use of the doggie gym although that's the best part.This is a fantastic small business with a variety of toys, treats, food options, and healthcare (joint, skin, dental, etc). The owners are wonderful and the staff they employ are equally caring and knowledgeable. There are not words to express how happy and grateful I am to have discovered (and have access to) this wonderful business and all they have to offer.”
“I love this Petco Store! They have the best selection of items and priced very reasonable. I have purchased a lot of fish items including 10 gallon fish tank complete with everything you need. I have purchased filter assembly and filters for my outside fish quartet, Aqueoun products mostly, because they stand behind their products. I buy and have bought most of my fish from this store as well. Their employees are professional, exceptionally well trained as far knowledgeable, sincere and always a pleasure to do their best to take care of you on your shopping visit. I can not imagine a more sincere and dedicated group of individuals then these sales associates. Today on my visit to the store, Sunday October 27, a very sweet and genuine young lady took very good care of me and her name was Ryn, she has waited on me in the past and is outstanding. “Hometown pet store with plenty of pet goodies. From foods to baths to beds and carriers. I stopped by just to see the variety. They do have small pet foods for Chinchilla's, hamsters and guinea pigs, as well as a variety of fish for your aquarium and aquarium decorations. Friendly staff as well.”
“I’ve been going to the store for a few years now since I started owning chickens. And every single time that I go, the manager Joy has constantly been super helpful and always friendly. Since then, I’ve started coming to the store for all of my needs for my goats, cats, dogs just because of the customer service I received at the store. Thank you Joy!”

“We always take our doodle here- We love being able to see all the dogs being groomed/the open concept here! Makes us feel so safe leaving our pup there. She always comes home so happy! It’s clear they treat these animals with such care.
I have a very old dachshund with nails that couldn’t be trimmed at the vet anymore, since he’s so squirmish and loses patience quickly now. They accepted a quick walk-in, let me hold him, and were so patient with my little boy! He walked out feeling brand new. I cannot begin to express how much I appreciate these lovely humans that work here! (Beth Hatter, you were incredible! We’ll remember this wonderful experience because of you & your kindness!)”
“The only reason I'm giving 4-stars is because of the owner. The two employees we worked with were solid. However, when we came back to visit our puppy a couple of times during the week (had to wait to take puppy home because he was from out of state), their vibe totally changed when the owner was around. The owner of Playful also owns Ruh Roh's pet shop around the corner. Same thing happened there. Employees were very nice without the owner present and very stressed when owner was there. Anyway, I don't know the backstory. Maybe something stressful was happening at both places on multiple days.Last thing....negotiate! The employee who helped us told us we can negotiate and we saved $700. The next day, when we returned to visit our dog, the other employee never told the other customers to negotiate and they paid full price.”
“Place was AWESOME!!! Staff was super friendly, knowledgeable n jus all around good people! Store was neat, clean n well stocked n kept.. All the animals there were all very well taken care of cages/ tanks/ terrariums all clean ,fresh water n food... definitely would recommend this place to anyone... OHHH also they had the biggest monitors n fresh water flowerhorn cichlids i think I've ever seen!!! Keep up the great work guys!!”

“I adopted a dog at the beginning of the pandemic when things were pretty chaotic. The SPCA handled the transition about as well as anybody did during that time and we were able to schedule a visit to meet 2 potential dogs. Everything went smoothly and we took our new dog home that day (sadly, he just passed away after 4 wonderful years with us, as he was older when we adopted him).Edit: a few days ago I returned and had another wonderful experience with adopting again. I put in an application online and was called about a week later (I believe this is because the dog was on a stray hold, so I was called as soon as the hold expired). We had to wait to be able to take him home because he had to be neutered, but we were able to visit the dog a couple of times in between the time we adopted him and were able to take him home. Staff were pleasant and friendly every time.”
“I had to leave a review this time! Alexa has groomed my Cavalier King Charles, Sawyer, a couple times now. She just does such a great job! And our experience here is always pleasant, whether it’s the grooming services or the store. We will always book with Alexa. It’s a good sign when Sawyer is dragging me across the parking lot to get in to the groomers ?”

“this was one of the best experiences I have ever had at any store. Heather probably spent an hour with my ten year old son to help get everything he needed for the leopard gecko he will hopefully be getting soon. she literally built his reptile tank rom top to bottom with every single piece his gecko will need. we are first time buyers so this was helpful beyond words for us, thank you for the time and info you gave us. peyton can not wait to see his gecko!!”
