“I had THE best experience today with Martins Direct. First, they actually got everything right on my list. They were honest with me upfront and told me that they didn’t have any drivers to offer delivery. Which was fine, because since I knew right away, I made arrangements to pick up my order. “Great gas prices, but a bit difficult to get into with a motorhome and trailer. The exit is behind the building and across some other parking lots. Will still get gas there, Love the fact that their dollar limit is enough to fill the motorhome without having to reinsert credit card a second time.”

“The Food Lion in Thurmont is one of the cleanest and well stocked grocery stores I've ever been in. The produce is fresh, colorful, and well displayed. There are employees that have been there 20yrs. They are friendly and are willing to discuss choice in products. The deli will slice your sandwich meat to the exact thickness you are looking for sandwiches. To stay on budget they constantly mark down chees and sliced meats to move. Everthing is fresh and the keep that area spotless. One of the things I really like about Thurmont Food Lion is a solid community meeting place where people pass each others in the store an ongoing conversations that can go on for years. They still have cashiers that gives the employees and the customer a human contact, not just units that are being passed through like otjer stores Barry R”
“I went into dollar general the other day and it seems they have new management! Store looks so much better, it’s more organized and clean. And they have such friendly staff now. ? whoever took over that store is doing a great job”
“We have used this butcher for the past 10 years or so and have always been very pleased with their service and the quality they provide. Also, they have always been willing to use custom recipes for things like sweet bologna (which we like to have made using natural sweeteners and no nitrates).”
“I actually used to avoid this Dollar General the past year or so because the employees that had recently started to work there were rude and made me uncomfortable when I checked out (not just me as my friend also said she witnessed this as well when I told her). It actually made me start going to Emmitsburg Dollar General instead. I tried going again within the past few months and the two employees now (no sign of the other ones) were amazing! The gentleman, I don’t know his name, is very nice and when I checkout he engages in some polite conversation and is personable. The woman, I don’t know her name either, maybe Kathy I believe? Also very personable and actually helped me when I went to checkout by showing me to a better product on sale I didn’t even see before and was exactly what I’d wanted. I hope that this Dollar General has raised the pay and gives benefits now because these are the kind of sales clerks they need and these two definitely deserve it! They go above and beyond.”

“Everyone that works here is so friendly. I just wish they didn't play country music.Update: I initially gave 4 stars with the above comment. I noticed on my very next trip that they changed the music. Every time I have been back (which is minimum once a week and sometimes more), I havent heard any country. Im really impressed... its improved my shopping experience greatly”
