“Dr. Sands and her team provided an absolutely first-rate care experience for our Sheltie, Pippin; he was in for his annual checkup and multiple vaccinations. The staff is great with Pippin, and Dr. Sands really put this fairly high-energy four-year old Sheltie completely at ease; in fact, I wish I taken a picture of her cuddling Pippin and him just melting into her lap. You can see she really has a heart for the animals. The care provided was excellent, actually, absolutely beyond excellent in every regard. Even after a blood draw and multiple vaccinations, Pippin seemed to be very much at ease and comfortable in the office surroundings. This service level of service and care is not inexpensive, but I strongly feel that the price is totally warranted for both the services provided and way in which Dr. Sands and her entire staff interact with the animals ... as if they are part of their family. Thus, I have total confidence in Dr. Sands and her entire staff, and I believe that counts most of all. Strongly, strongly recommended!”
“This was our first visit, and from the first phone call to make the appointment, asking questions, to walking in the door, every person was so caring and nice. I felt so welcomed. Every staff person, Rylinn, the vet tech and Dr. Hasco were so kind to me and showed such sweet attention and care to my collie Ellie. All my questions were answered and wonderful guidance and education provided. The building is lovely and everything is well organized and clean. It truly was a great experience!”

“The vet and technician were exceptionally, gentle, patient, and kind to my very nervous cats. The appointments were on time and completed efficiently and professionally. Two helpers checked us in and gathered necessary details, no time wasted. The clinic was set up in a very quiet corner of the store which calmed my cats, and the visit was fairly priced. I will definitely use Vetco for all of my pets’ vaccinations.”

“My wife has been fostering kittens for a couple years now. We have been lucky with our foster kittens, but this morning one of our new foster kittens was near death. Our adult cats are seen regularly at Winding Hill, so that was our first call. They were so understanding and gracious, and asked us to bring the kitten in right away. They were able to see the kitten immediately and treated her with such care and dignity. Even though the kitten could not be saved, the staff and doctor were thorough and provided the best care possible under the circumstances. And they did not make this visit a financial burden for us either. Top notch care without charging us an arm and a leg - GREAT veterinary practice in Mechanicsburg!”

“Dr. Holly Wendell has been caring for my horses for over 15 years. She is excellent with horses and patient with their owners. She explains your horses needs and diagnosis illnesses. Dr. Wendell is caring and enjoys being a veterinarian. She is the most intelligent veterinarian I have ever known and more importantly the most compassionate.”
“I've had nothing but amazing experiences with the entire staff of Banfield Mechanicsburg specifically. I can’t speak to other locations. But I’m on a low budget and my cats are never forced any unnecessary testing, etc that breaks the bank. They are aware that when you say no thank you to let it go which a lot of vets now a days really don’t and it becomes very uncomfortable. My cat had dental surgery and they actually saved me some money by not having to take some teeth out and were able to cut some costs where appropriate for things they quoted me that didn’t turn out to be necessary which I was really pleased with. Overall when I call with questions I’m always given help not just at appointments and the staff ALWAYS returns calls if they say they will. I do wish the vet was more accessible for questions instead of questions being funneled through the vet tech on appts but really its not a big deal, it works, but if I had to critique that’d be the only change I’d make. I will keep coming back to Banfield, and drive further just to go to Mechanicsburg bc of the staff ”
