“My experience at the Brodheadsville Dollar tree was quite a helpful and unique one. I’d like to recognize a few key things about this location. I’ve noticed over the last few months they’ve had some new staffing editions. When I came in last week, one of those was a very helpful & friendly cashier who when I asked told me her name was ‘Liz’. Liz was the only cashier on register at that moment, and while she had no customers I asked her to help me find a item in the cleaning aisle that no matter how many times I walked up and down I just couldn’t place it. My experience with Liz was very favorable & memorable, every time I come in and she’s working she always puts a smile on my face & makes me feel welcomed. There’s not a time that passes where I’ve come in & she’s ever nasty to me or any other customer or employee from what I’ve experienced. Even when I was cashed out by her, the customer ahead of me was being unruly and rude to her and she maintained a strictly positive and professional attitude. Other times I’ve encountered Miss Liz, she’s been stocking or helping others throughout the store, and no matter what she’s doing she always stops when I say hi to her to take a moment and acknowledge me, and I can honestly say that some of the other employees need to take a page out of her notes on how to treat customers. The first time I met her I asked her to help me find my cleaning item, and she was only missing from up front before seconds later the older blonde haired pony tail wearing manager that I see frequently in the evening, immediately paged her back to the front end. I’m unsure of her name, but all my encounters with said manager have never been pleasant or memorable. Whenever I see the manager at night come “help” the front end she screams at the top of her lungs for the next customer to come up, and no surprise here, but most of the customers stay in whoever is cashing them out’s line and are not tempted to go on hers. I don’t know if she’s going through something or whatnot, but for a “manager” to constantly have a nasty unwelcoming attitude towards customers & from what I’ve witnessed several different staff members, it’s untasteful. I wanted to leave a strictly mostly positive review to acknowledge Miss Liz, Mr Damien, Miss Kelsey, Miss Holly, and Miss Diane who are all always pleasant to me. However whoever the night manager is, she just clearly doesn’t seem to want to be there, and I feel that someone with that kind of attitude doesn’t belong doing a manager position. I run my own company myself, and know what it’s like to have to give gratitude to my employees and this woman clearly lacks that. I love most of the workers here, but the night time crew always seems super stressed when this particular manager is present. Maybe corporate should re-educate Miss Manager, or offer for her to not be in that position if she’s incapable of showing simple compassion towards customers and staff. I would hate for her to be my boss. Overall though the staff mostly rocks here! Day shift especially!”

“Shop in here regularly. Sometimes I don't feel like dealing with 611 traffic, and I pop in here for bread milk and 1/2 and 1/2. Their produce is something to consider. I bought tomatoes that were delicious, and their bagged oranges are better than what I was finding in supermarkets. Also their motor oil and car items are competitively priced or cheaper. This store is one of the cleanest of them around and for the most part well stocked. I'm glad its in our area. The staff is always pleasant and makes you feel welcome. It is also in a safer residential area compared to others that I don't frequent. All in all I'm glad we have it here.”

“I take my mom to this Dollar General. The people who work here are very compassionate, you are greeted as soon as you walk though the doors, they will help you find whatever you are looking for. The most important thing I love is my mom is 79 and they listen to her and treat her like she 100 💯% belongs there. Great people working in this location out in Saylorsburg PA.”

While the front-line workers were friendly and eager to help, I was pleasantly surprised with seeing the isles so organized and eye catching arrangements. This is one of the best looking DT stores by far that I've visited.
