“I visited this gym to purchase a 3 month stater membership for a Christmas present. I had a great conversation with the owner Jeff and had a tour. Very impressed by the equipment, location and feel of the place. I think this present may be the start of a full time member!”
“This is the first gym that I have ever gone to that I feel welcomed by everyone. The entire staff are very pleasant and always helpful, the gym members themselves are all very kind to each other as well. I purchased the personal training sessions and was set up with Julie. I can’t begin to explain on how much she has helped change my whole life. Through her teachings I have started a complete lifestyle change and with her help I’m already seeing results physically and mentally. I cannot stress enough on how great she is. This also a locally owned gym so it’s also great to know that I’m supporting a small business instead of a giant chain. I plan on being here for a long time and encourage others to check it out.”

“Equipment is in good condition, showers and bathroom are always clean. Black Card Lounge is easy to use and front desk staff are pretty helpful will answer questions if you're ever unsure. I love going here ~”
“EDITED: after being at this Y for six months now, my review below still stands. My only big complaint is the music choice blasting in the women’s health center the past several weeks. Classic Rock would be fine, but whatever station they are on plays darker songs with depressing lyrical content. My main goal is relaxation in the whirlpool then meditate in the steam room but it’s a bummer to go back into locker room and hear “Running With the Devil” blasting in my ears at a Christian association.I’m moving to Cranberry soon so it won’t be a problem for me soon. The staff are wonderful, especially the cheery woman who cleans the Y … she’s a delight.Original Review: I love the Butler YMCA! I go between the Cranberry Y and Butler Y but prefer Butler (even though I love the big track in Cranberry) and consider it my “home gym” as it’s close by, fabulous and caring staff, clean facilities, friendly members, a warm locker room and I especially love the dry sauna and steam room in the woman’s health center. I’m healing from adrenal fatigue after a move back home from across the country and healing quickly attending the gym 4 days a week for a walk and a soak in the saunas. Thank you!”
“I joined CrossFit because I love to move and be active, but I struggle with staying consistent. My friend Abi is a coach at CrossFit Recreate, and while I didn’t know that when I started looking at fitness classes near me, it certainly helped knowing that I would see a friendly, familiar face there. What I found (after just one class) is that EVERYONE is friendly. Not only are they friendly, they are fun, supportive, encouraging, and enthusiastic. From the first text I sent to ask for more information, to my 13th class (just today), I have had nothing but positive interactions. The exercises are intense, and can seem intimidating, but the coaches have helped me scale each workout to make it appropriate for what I can do, while at the same time gently leading me to get stronger. I look forward to CrossFit every time I sign up for a class, and on the days I don’t go, I kinda feel like something’s missing. I wish I had found this box, and these people, years ago! I’m making progress in the workout classes, day to day life is getting easier, and my mental health has improved immensely. So thankful for this community. ?”
