“Lovely park with cute historical buildings and view of the trains crossing the bridge. We see the river front once a week. Too bad the rest of Harrisburg has not lived up to its potential. People have money to spend and we rarely go anywhere but here & Koons Park to walk Hannah, our dog. No malls or nice cafes, shops, restaurants in midtown or downtown to justify spending $16 for paid parking.”

Additionally, the breakfast was great and the whole staff was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. The town was also super quaint and has some really great food in the food market.”

“Words can’t even begin to describe how gorgeous and perfect this venue!! It is like a little slice of heaven and I promise, you will not want to leave. It is peaceful and quiet and everyone involved complimented on it. As soon as you get out of your car and walk under the stunning arch way you walk across the little bridge over the babbling stream, you know you’re in a special place. The entire venue is nestled under massive trees as the sunlight peaks through leaves. The half wrap around porch allows you a perfect Birds Eye view of the gorgeous landscaping all over the grounds. Inside the lodge your eyes are drawn to the open ceiling with the beautiful beam work that is covered in tiny twinkle lights. At night, you feel like you’re under a clear sky full of stars. The full kitchen on site is such a great feature that few venues offer and it makes serving/catering an absolute breeze! We have used this venue several times and can’t say enough. Each experience has been better than the last. Dave and Suzie are so sweet and easy to work with too!! If you love the country and nature this is the PERFECT venue for you.”

“Great place for both the sports ( Tennis and Golf).They do have both Har thru and hard tennis courts. The Golf Club is Huge too.They did set up a nice bar and restaurant both inside and outside. Overall the ambience is nice,neat and clean. We enjoyed the facility for watching a tennis tournament match. Staff is very nice and smiling.”

“Very happy Metropolis has been open again. Hannah and Richard are so unique and focused, they are HUGELY responsible for breathing life back into an area that was fading away. Besides the excellent quality of every piece in the gallery, you can find handmade jewelry, accessories and eye catching creations showcased by local artists. Oooh, and don't forget the bands!! Live music that sounds good! Something about the area where the stage is.. great acoustics. Maybe I'll see you there!”

“We had the pleasure of attending a beautiful wedding here. The site accommodated a very large crowd, large tent and plenty of seating. We did not decide to camp on site but think next time we would be back camping would definitely be on the list of things to do.This location had a pool but was not opened at the time of us being there.Playground: They had a small swing set for the kids.Restrooms: Restrooms were normal camping style, separate bathhouse with restrooms attached.Dog-friendliness: Pets were welcome, we only had one dog in our group but didn't seem to have any issue.Picnic area: Large picnic area, covered pavilion with indoor seating as well.”

“We attended a wedding here and we're pretty impressed! Sitting right on the Susquehanna river this venue has a nice outside area with plenty of gorgeous backdrops for photo ops. The downstairs has several rooms that can be set up for various purposes. The second floor has a nice sized dining room/dance hall with a large window at one end which gives a good view over the river. It's definitely a nice place to hold an event.”
“This is another of our favorite Amish smorgasbord restaurants while visiting the area and we would not fail to come for dinner here. We are not alone who feel so good about this place - while waiting to be seated, we met a couple who drive here all the way from Baltimore on the weekend to enjoy their wonderful and plentiful food offerings. That says it all....and yes, we will be back, gladly!”

“We WOULD have given a 1 star review for our stay due to an extremely rude front desk manager, but Ashley was so accommodating and kind. So this 5 star is for her. Whoever her manager was on 1/16/2026 at around 1:30 pm should trade places on the org chart with her. He was awful.”

The family we were traveling with booked a different Candlewood suites in the area. Nila went above and beyond to make sure we were all together. “The staff is very friendly and helpful. The place seemed clean and didnt have unpleasant odor. I was expecting hot tub, but it and the pool were broken. the fire alarms on the 2nd floor went off around 10 pm, everybody went down to lobby and it was a false alarm. Apparently this had been happening for several nights in a row and guests were concerned. Since these are kitchenettes someone could be cooking. Reasonable. The weird part was around 1 AM the light under the microwave went on by itself. Neither my husband nor myself had turned it on. The light went off again by itself while we were sleeping. No reasonable explanation because nothing else was affected...management have a clue?”

“Rooms are big, beds are comfy..customer service is top tier were ihg members hubby teaches a motorcycle class nearby doesn't get over till 230pm we asked for late check out so I'm not sitting in the cold, the manager didn't hesitate gave me till 130pm made my day allot easier and left a nice tip for housekeeping cuz I know it put them behind, we will be back for sure”

“I had a surprise birthday party for my husband at Hidden Hillside. This place is wonderful. A large space with a kitchen area, any amount of tables, throne chair and extra things as needed. I appreciated the sound machine, microphones, decorative lights and ample parking especially as extras. I met with them several times prior to the event to plan and get valuable advice on various aspects of my party. All for an incredibly reasonable price. I was 100% pleased and would recommend to anyone. Thank you for helping make my experience special.”
