“Fantastic mechanic shop, I'm very thankful for them. I originally brought in my older (2010, 200k+ miles) minivan for a relatively minor issue, but they also noticed a larger repair that needed done--- something that had been an on and off struggle for awhile with patches and repairs, so I do absolutely trust it was an honest find. Instead of just making several thousand dollars off me, the owner had a very open conversation with me about my options regarding the longterm longevity of my vehicle, further repairs they would potentially need to do down the road, etc. I ended up purchasing a newer vehicle instead, and I look forward to being a long term customer at T&M. My husband mentioned to me he's been hoping to find a solid and honest shop like this for awhile, and will be taking his car there as well.”

“From the initial call, to the driver who hauled my son’s vehicle, customer service from beginning to end was spot one! The call was placed around 1:40AM and the driver was there in less than 30 mins. This is the first time we’ve needed a 24 hour towing company. So thankful this was the first place we called. Hoping I don’t ever need services again, but if I do, Hix Towing is who I will call.”

“I was in a car accident on 81, and had the state trooper dispatch a tow company, without me asking or approving on a Sunday. Boore’s picked up my car, and unfortunately I didn’t have any collision coverage, only liability. When speaking to Steve on the phone, he was able to give me a cash price discount, and spent several minutes on the phone with me telling me what coverage I would need in the future and what to look for in an insurance company. Steve also spent the time to drive my car and inspect damages, and even texted me pictures of the damage prior to me paying them a dime. He was very professional, very personable, and saved me a lot of grief.”

Called to have my vehicle towed and was transferred and then given the run around. Couldn't tell you how many bad experiences ive had with these people. Called to get reimbursed for them not towing my vehicle and still haven't heard anything.

Edit- they reimbursed me for my towing.”

“Called J&J Diesel Repair & Heavy Duty Towing today to get my trailer set back up so that I could get reloaded and back on the road. Super quick service, great price and great group of guys to deal with. Jason and John were quick and a great option. Glad I called them. Highly recommend! Thanks.”

“On a recent road trip my converted van popped a brake line. These guys fixed it up quickly to get us home. They could've kept us much longer and made more money with more permanent repairs ordering new parts and such but they knew we were out of state and far from home and didn't take advantage of that fact. The mechanic actually apologized the initial band aid fix didn't work and I'd have to stay overnight at a nearby hotel (that they drove us to as well without being asked).

I wasn't sure if it was rude to say so I didn't say anything to him but prior to calling John's Mobile repair I had called 18 other auto repair places in Carlisle, ranging from one man garages to corporate chains. I had actually skipped over calling John's Mobile repair because the preview image and name made it seem like they only service trucks. All of the other auto repair places said the van could possibly maybe be seen that day if we were lucky but mostly likely it'd be checked out the next day, and the repairs themselves would begin a week later assuming it was a simply fix. I got desperate and called John's Mobile repair anyway who ended up both looking at and making first attempts same day. The mechanic was knowledgeable and could quickly and concisely explain what was wrong and why the first attempt didn't work and why the repair he'd attempt when his shift started next day would most likely be successful. Which it was and got the last 6 hour leg of the return trip without incident.

This review is exactly one week after getting home. If I had gone with any of the other auto repair places in carlisle, repairs would have been completed around this time.

They were super nice and polite too but I'm not sure if that's the norm in PA, in Massachusetts that's rare and it'd be a massive plus. So I figured I'd make note of it.”
