Miller's Food Factory
12685 Conneaut Lake Rd, Conneaut LakeMy family was heading back home (to Pittsburgh and rural Northeast Ohio) from a weekend on Lake Erie, and wanted to find a place along the way for Sunday brunch. We ended up at Miller's, and it was a decent experience.
The place was bustling when we visited, showing they are definitely a pillar in the sleepy community they serve. This large amount of diners made the service a bit slow and a touch flighty, but it was understandable.
I got the full Mead, which was a mixed hash of eggs and gome fries and veggies. It was pretty good, but lacked some in flavor, and was obviously done first in our tables orders, so it was already lukewarm on arrival. But it still tasted good overall. My family got a mix of breakfast and lunch items, and everyone seemed satisfied with their choices. Overall, this place is a nice stop if you're heading thru the Conneaut Lake area, even if it isn't something you would make a long trip for on its own.

Silver Shores Restaurant
11934 Conneaut Lake Rd, Conneaut LakeOur third visit (because first two times were very enjoyable) and was somewhat disappointed by service compared to first two visits. Tuesday, 5/5/26 5:30, we were there celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary. Our waitress, Kendall, greeted us, brought menus, served drinks and took our order. No specials were mentioned, so I assumed there were none that evening. I really had a taste for scallops. None on the menu, so I ordered the salmon. About 5 minutes after we ordered, I hear another waitress greeting the table behind us and proceeding to tell her customers all about the dinner special... scallops ?! The salmon was very good. I guess it's up to the diner to inquire about specials. I kind of thought that would be in a server's job description. Live and learn. The waitress that remembered to tell her table the specials had a trainee server shadowing her. I mentioned to my husband that must be why Kendall wasn't a trainer. Details. LOL. This experience certainly won't hinder us from coming again but....you know. ?
