“Julie the cashier ( well everything... she was cleaning and stocking isles, but made sure nobody waited for her to check out) She was friendly, patient and helpful. I needed help using Klarna as my payment, and she helped me , She was friendly, didn't get Frustrated. Julie was absolutely professional, helpful, knowledgeable, able to multitask, and most importantly, she smiled through it all. She turned my bad day around! She needs to be recognized as an excellent and one of a kind employee! ????♥️♥️ It was by far the Best experience I ever had!!!!!”
“Mid sized dollar tree in a almost abandoned shopping center. Dollar tree is in the process of raising prices again so before shopping here go up the hill to Walmart where some things will be cheaper.”

“I stopped into Dollar General today and had a wonderful experience thanks to Rosemary. She was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind from the moment I walked up to the register. It’s not often you come across someone who takes the time to make customers feel valued, but Rosemary did exactly that. Her positive attitude and excellent customer service made my visit quick, pleasant, and enjoyable. Dollar General is lucky to have such a dedicated employee. “I never write Google reviews haha! But, I looked at the reviews for this particular location to make sure I'd be going to one that is usually well stocked (it was for the most part), but the reviews about the cashiers were kinda horrendous. I got here, and of course, so close to Christmas, stock was low and it was busy, but the cashiers...we're SO LOVELY AND FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL AND POLITE. I didn't get their names, but it was the folks with alt-style (like myself), and they had positive attitudes when really, for $12/hr in this economy, all I'd muster is a 'Howyadoin,' but they chatted customers up and were just so pleasant. Idk, I just felt like they should get a shout out for probably just being their typical sweet selves. Which is honestly rare out here these days. It was nice to see folks of different kinds treating each other well and with the regular respect we all deserve. And, that's my Dollar Tree on Banksville review!”

“Very nice location but everytime when I do come here their toy isle is a complete mess with every item on the floor not on the shelves with broken boxes which needs to be cleaned and straightened out with also some of their lights are broken so needs to be fixed”
“I stop in here frequently, as I do other locations. The store is usually always clean and organized, except when they have new shipments they are stocking and pulling seasonal items. Customers need to be aware of and respect the fact that employees only have so much space to work in. It's not Walmart or Giant Eagle, they do not stock overnight.
Items I usually purchase here are cat toys, hair accessories (I like the metal claw clips they started carrying, I can't break them easily), office supplies, craft items, nail care items, and drinks and snacks. They have really cute seasonal decor, it's nice when on a tight budget. Here are photos of some things I've bought or almost bought.”
“This DG has a good food assortment. They would be smart to move to the now closed Shoo n Save location in Pines Plaza. So may of the people living in the high rise that walk to get groceries would be happy for it and it would eliminate the dangerous exit they have now.”

“Accidentally went to this Dollar Tree thinking my GPS was taking me to the other one I usually go to, and was pleasantly surprised. The staff were really nice, the store was well maintained and they had a crazy good selection of stuff I needed to restock on and things I hadn't seen hit the DT shelves yet. One of my new favorites 💖 shout-out to my elder millennial cashier (same tho lol) you were amazing.”
“Always low prices. Best cashiers ever. They’re so nice and knowledgeable. You can ask where something is, and they know exactly what isle and where in that isle your item is located.”
“This is not only the cleanest and most organized FD store around me and there are a bunch. The ladies move and stock inventory in a timely fashion and make sure you can walk thru aisles and find just what you need.”
“They got a lot of things that you would want to buy and obviously for a cheap price. They obviously won’t sell high quality things and shelf storage isn’t a problem most of the time except for some items but there’s always an alternative item to buy instead. Pretty fire ngl”
“Store has most everything that is needed for quick shopping trip. Staff always helpful, and congenial. Store is a little small for the immediate area, doesn't have the square footage that it needs to be effective. Sister stores are within 3 miles, however they are not always convenient time wise if it is close to the 9:00P.M. closing time.Prices continue to be higher than the market conditions should dictate, I have conducted a Department of Commerce survey using their procedures, and Dollar General needs to apply more pressure on it's vendors wholesale prices, and make a clear reduction to Dollar General retail prices, very soon!!!! My Survey hits the Net very soon!!!! Get Busy Dollar General!”

“The Christmas merchandise is out on display and the fall merchandise is on sale at 50% off. It gave the store a festive homey atmosphere. The cashiers and shelf stockers are always friendly and cordial.”
“This is one of the biggest dollar general stores in the area. It is very clean and well organized. The only reason for the 4-star review is because the isles aren't labeled, so you need to explore to find what you're looking for. I went to another dollar general in the area for dry cat food, and they didn't have it. They had it at this dollar general, and it saved me a trip in the opposite direction as my cats have sensitive stomachs and can only have a certain cat food. They have 3 registers, but only one was open with one employee to ring people out. The employee was very nice as opposed to another dollar general where all the employees are rude beyond belief, and it's a cluttered disaster that gives me instantly anxiety just walking thru the door. I would def come back to this DG in the future!”
“Staff was very helpful and even helped me check out. I have severe nerve damage in my hands and one of the two ladies there did my card for me. And they helped get the bags into my hands. This was my first visit?, just moved to Hopewell right down the Rd.”
“I received excellent and friendly helpful service from a young man named Naylinn today. I asked his name but I probably spelled it wrong. Sorry. He had a great attitude and service with smile. So refreshing and very unusual these days. He certainly and voluntarily went the extra mile.

“As of April 18, 2026, it seems like they've really turned it around, no piles of merchandise blocking the aisles, everything looks neat and organized. I'm impressed.
(Original three-star review) I really want to like this place because it's super convenient, but more and more I'm taking my money elsewhere: Aldi for groceries and The Yard Place for pet stuff. DG's prices are creeping past Giant Eagle, the aisles are constantly cluttered with merchandise which hadn't been put away, and it seems like they're always out of the thing I came in for--or it's in the pile waiting to be stocked. And on a Saturday they'll only have one register opened. This store 100% needs new management, more employees, better wages, something. It's a damn shame because, like I said, great location.”
“This is probably the best dollar general I’ve been too. It is very clean, neat & tidy. It is not hard to find what you’re looking for. Most other dollar generals are so messy & unorganized but not this one! Thank you for caring about your customers & keeping a nice establishment. The employees are so nice as well.”

“I've never had a bad experience there. It's a bit messy, and old. You can still get all the things you need. I went there for paint supplies. They had most of what I needed. They sell food and clothes and kitchen utensils. They sell cell phones and cheap electronics. It's your typical convenience store.”
“They are well stocked and staff is friendly. A lot of inventory though is in the aisles and unpacked so navigating through the store is a bit tricky. Great prices and discounts (especially the $5 off $25 coupon/discount on Saturdays).”
