“I didn't physically visit RK Industries. That being said, I had an issue with my vehicles suspension. I called and spoke with Bob (the actual owner) about potential issues and remedies. He was more than willing to discuss and offer advice. Bob took the time and never rushed the conversation. That was really appreciated!”

“Can’t recommend this place enough! Most trustworthy mechanic in Pittsburgh. Had my car in and out of auto shops and each told me something different and wanted to charge thousands. This place got me hooked up, fixed everything and didn’t over charge for anything.Services: Auto maintenance”

“I had to get some work done on the underside of my vehicle, and instead of just letting me just pay to have it all done they told me to bring it in because we're only gonna charge you for what need. That's sold me right off the bat. A place that doesn't want to rip you off wow!!!!! They did great work and were super fast. The very next day I started hearing some squealing from the wheel. They took it back in two seconds and had me on my way. Just a dust cover how awesome. They also helped me set up a plan to replace parts at times that are convenient for me, by setting up an itemized sheet of what should be done in the future. Josh was great and again the service Top Tier. They're my mechanics for life now.”

“I've taken my car there for 7 years now. He is honest, friendly, and dependable. The type of mechanic that won't sell you something you don't need. Instead, tell you the problem, his price, and what it may take to do on your own if you choose to. Other places will find no issues but call with 5 things that could hypothetically happen some day and beg you to let them do it. I don't take my car anywhere else now.”

“Quality Work and Honest Service for My Toyota Sienna I brought my 2013 Toyota Sienna Limited AWD to Modern Transmission Repair after the transmission failed. From the start, John was professional, transparent, and clearly knowledgeable about Toyota drivetrains. John provided a detailed estimate, explained the replacement options, and kept me informed throughout the entire repair process. The new transmission performs smoothly, and the minivan drives like new again. It’s reassuring to know that John stands behind his work with a solid warranty. The shop’s attention to detail and honest communication gave me confidence that I made the right decision to repair rather than replace my vehicle. If you’re facing a major transmission issue and want a team that combines technical skill with integrity and quality work, I highly recommend Modern Transmission Repair.”

“Needed my transmission pan dropped, emptied, and refilled with ATF. They did it on Christmas Eve day ... and it was a MUST for me to drive. 320-miles later, made it home, trans didn't overheat. Good luck George with progress of your renovation.”

“I do not have enough superlatives to say about this repair facility. I first went to import motor car in 1990 and have been going there since. The owner Ron, is one of the most knowledgeable and honest mechanics you will meet. I have even met his whole family and that's the way his business is run. Ethically, with family values, and reasonable prices. I would give them 10 stars if I could”

“Quick and thoughtful service. He seemed to go out of his way to not recommend unnecessary work, which I thought was both honorable and great customer service. I would highly recommend for any transmission issues.”

“Visited John's shop for a second opinion on groaning noise from the rear of my SUV. First shop said my rear diff unit was bad, and suggested replacing that, both hubs and wheel sensors - costs big $$$$. These guys confirmed sound definitely coming from one hub but not the diff and suggested replacing just the hub and re-evaluating. Fred did great work to free the old rust seized unit and replace with OEM part, then John called with the good news. Took a couple of days but the price was fair and the result positive. TL; DR: This shop does great diagnostic work and approaches repairs conservatively so you don't spend more than necessary.”
