“Mid sized dollar tree in a almost abandoned shopping center. Dollar tree is in the process of raising prices again so before shopping here go up the hill to Walmart where some things will be cheaper.”
“Loved shopping here! Whenever I return to Pittsburgh it’s my go to place to shop. Clothing, toiletries, household items, stationery, snacks and so much more can be found at Gabe’s. I just wish they had them nationwide cause the deals are simply amazing and their prices can’t be beat! I was able to get 2 outfits with shoes to match, undergarments, a tumbler for hiking, personal care products and towels all for less than $60. I am a customer for life now”
“I stop in here frequently, as I do other locations. The store is usually always clean and organized, except when they have new shipments they are stocking and pulling seasonal items. Customers need to be aware of and respect the fact that employees only have so much space to work in. It's not Walmart or Giant Eagle, they do not stock overnight.
Items I usually purchase here are cat toys, hair accessories (I like the metal claw clips they started carrying, I can't break them easily), office supplies, craft items, nail care items, and drinks and snacks. They have really cute seasonal decor, it's nice when on a tight budget. Here are photos of some things I've bought or almost bought.”
“I don’t typically shop at Dollar General but stopped at store #24487 at 1569 Mars Evans City Rd in Evans City, PA tonight after work, because I had to pick up a few things and it was on my way home.
I just want to let you know how extremely attentive and helpful your sales associate Jordan was during my visit. I was having issues downloading and verifying the Dollar General app on my phone to access advertised coupons Jordan noticed this from afar and proactively swooped in to save the day without me even having to ask to walk me through how to download the app, register, verify my account, and tips and tricks on how to find the coupons I was seeking in between checking out other guests at the register.
I can’t tell you enough how appreciative I am of Jordan’s kindness to take the time to go above and beyond to assist me with this, especially after such a long day at work. I will definitely be coming back to shop at Dollar General again and it is all thanks to Jordan.”
“I would like to take a moment to shoutout Linda for taking the time and patience to help me today while shopping today in DG. Although she was dealing with a great deal of work and customers she was kind and prompt to all my needs in a professional manner. She made my day better by make me feel like a person. I was lost due to the upgrades of the store over the past 6 months things are not how they use to be and it was difficult locating items I once knew exactly where they were stock. DG should be grateful for a hard working woman like LINDS and know she is someone I would love to see in more DGs in the near area. “I made a stop at this location for the first time. I usually go to the one on Duss when I visit my son. Went to the Duss location first. It was filthy. There were boxes everywhere. Some where you could hardly get down the aisle. Shelves were just about empty and looked like items were just thrown in the shelves. I left and went to the one on Freedom for the first time. Store was clean. Staff was friendly and attentive. Shelves were well stocked and neat. There were no carts or boxes to be seen. This will be my go to store.”

Only 4 stars because of the recent price hike, and only one person worked in the cashier area. She was a sweet older lady though.”
“Clean enough, workers are generally friendly, feels like an old school neighborhood store . I honestly go there more because it is quick and easy if I need any household supplies . I never have to wait in line for long and the prices are decent.”

“This is one of the biggest dollar general stores in the area. It is very clean and well organized. The only reason for the 4-star review is because the isles aren't labeled, so you need to explore to find what you're looking for. I went to another dollar general in the area for dry cat food, and they didn't have it. They had it at this dollar general, and it saved me a trip in the opposite direction as my cats have sensitive stomachs and can only have a certain cat food. They have 3 registers, but only one was open with one employee to ring people out. The employee was very nice as opposed to another dollar general where all the employees are rude beyond belief, and it's a cluttered disaster that gives me instantly anxiety just walking thru the door. I would def come back to this DG in the future!”
“I love this place! We weren't in line too long before another register opened. We noticed they are working harder to keep the store stocked and the aisles clear, which is a big thing for me, especially if the store is already crowded!”
