“Love this place. It's so nice having a hardware store .2 miles away. Don't mind paying higher prices for supporting locally. Adds to convenience and takes away from the cost of gas to the bigger stores.”
313 S 10th St, Lemoyne PA 17043
“Wonderful local hardware that gives personalized service. Staff are always welcoming, friendly and helpful. You can buy just what you need. If you only need three screws, you can pull 3 screws from the drawer and buy them. You don't need to buy a whole pack if you don't need them. They have lovely decorative items, grills, paint, bird seed, plants. Everything a home owner or rental tenant could need. I highly recommend Hepfers Ace Homecenter.”
3101 Gettysburg Rd, Camp Hill PA 17011
“I appreciated that they came out on a Sunday even though they are a 24 hr 7 day service going by there ad. I do feel they need to be more transparent on pricing. They did a good job. As well given me a idea for my next line of work. Thank you”

“I make it a point to try and shop local businesses. The staff here are friendly and always quick to help you find what your looking for. Not the biggest of stores but 9 times out of 10 I find the thing I need and they are pretty good at knowing what they have. They also do key cutting which is a bonus.”

“Lots of different tools at lots of different price points. Highly recommend the icon tool line. They’ve lasted in a professional work environment. I’ve purchased a lot of hand tools, the 56in US generally tool box, a Vulcan welder and a lot more. The one and only time I needed to use a warranty it was quick and easy. Customer service is above average.”

“Neat place with lots to look at for anyone interested in woodworking. Prices are on the high end compared to Amazon but you can actually hold and touch the items before you buy. They do run sales that bring prices into the normal range and most of the items are quality. I recommend searching through the lumber bins sometimes you can find pieces with unique figuring and they're the same price as the normal stock.”

“Appalachian Hardware Co. is the kind of local business that makes you feel right at home the moment you walk through the door. The staff are friendly, approachable, and always willing to go out of their way to help. Whether you’re looking for something simple or need advice on a more complicated project, they take the time to listen and guide you in the right direction. What really stands out is their product knowledge and willingness to share it. They don’t just point you to an aisle, they actually make sure you have what you need and understand how to use it. The store is well organized, and it’s clear they take pride in keeping things stocked and easy to find. It’s refreshing to shop at a place where customer service is a priority, and Appalachian Hardware Co. delivers that every time. Supporting a local business that cares about its customers makes it an easy choice for me, and I’ll definitely continue coming back.”

“Katie in the paint department delivered the best customer service I have ever had! After waiting on a long line of customers with a bright smile, she listened to my needs and took the time to help me find the exact paint color for which I was looking. She was knowledgeable, patient, friendly, kind, and positive. It was an outstanding experience!”

“Regardless of the size of the job, Duncannon Supply delivers excellent service and value. Best deal in the area for chainsaw chain sharpening; my weed-eater went from coughing and sputtering to purring after a tune-up; and they diagnosed and fixed a major problem with my walk-behind mower.”

“recently called in to order some parts and have them ready for pickup. The lady who answered the phone was incredibly helpful. She took her time, never rushed me, and was very patient while I explained what I needed. It is rare these days to get that level of customer service and I truly appreciated how attentive and kind she was. Excellent experience and I will definitely continue to use Grainger for my supply needs.”

“Lowe’s is one of my favorite stores, especially during the spring and summer. It's well organized, clean, and friendly employees willing to assist customers.”
2635 Sycamore St, Harrisburg PA 17111
“They get the job done. However, the skills of interacting with customers are in short supply, those guys give me the impression that someone is making them to work for free or it is a prison sentence instead of a job; what a bunch of unhappy fellows.”
15 N Enola Rd, Enola PA 17025
“Old school. You can buy individual fasteners. This is definitely the place to go for small engine repair. Enjoyed talking with the older gentleman who was in the Air Force at Middletown and will almost certainly never see this review.”

“Had a problem with a brand new dewalt mower I had bought less than a month ago. Talked with CC in customer service . While disappointed in the lack of help on getting the mower back I was happy with my conversation with her. She was professional and polite. It’s the policy that is bad and not her fault. After arriving back to the store Diane and Mike were amazing. Wonderful help from them . Diane knew her product and Mike was so helpful. Some very good employees. Too bad the policies aren’t as good.”
5101 Jonestown Rd, Harrisburg PA 17112
“Big box store with most of your DIY needs. Prices are competitive. Went today for a kid's building workshop. These are regularly held on a few designated Saturdays. Well organized and well attended.”
