“It’s not a family camping trip unless you forget one (or numerous) items. To that end, when we inevitably forget something when we make a visit to Pinchot campground, we rely on this little gem of a store to supply us with what we need.
The store stocks a little bit of everything: camping equipment, fishing tackle, household needs, office supplies, tools, and firewood.
What’s more incredible is the use of space: aside from the ceiling, the store has a little bit of everything.
AND to top it all off, the gentleman (who I presume owns the store) is patient and kind - and based on his conversations with other customers, a sort of staple to the local community.
So, whether you need live bait, a box of screws, a stapler, or a pack of pencils, this is the place.”
“The service at Abbottstown hardware is amazing. When you need expert...I mean expert advice stop in and see Scott and his friendly crew. In the last 6 years they have helped me out with brick , block ,mulch ,glass cutting ,peat-heck I didn't know what peat was until I met Scott.....I do now. I can walk into their store , ask for 4 inch saw blades and be back on the road in 4 minutes. Try doing that at a big box hardware store-NO WAY. Go down to isle 17,look on the 3rd shelf to the right...no wait the left, and you may or may not find what you NEED right now. My time is worth more than the saw blades!! They actually save me $$$ in the long run.”

“Brad has done 2 amazing sculptures for us. 1st in 2008, a 13 ft tall Minuteman at the corner of Pinetown Road & Moore's Mountain Road (just destroyed by a errant driver, and a 20 ft tall Peace offering from an antique gun powder flask. He's absolutely amazing!”
