“Although we travel a little distance to the Downingtown Pharmacy, it is worth the trip. Compared with closer drugstore chains and grocery stores, the prices, customer service, insurance processing, and pharmacist expertise are so much better at this independent pharmacy. I was surprised to find price differences even with insurance, making this pricing incomparable. The customer service is courteous, helpful and quick. The insurance processing is efficient: much faster with no bureaucracy/red tape. The pharmacist is knowledgeable and accurate, and never makes me feel like I am bothering him to ask a question. There have even been times when other customers have engaged me in a conversation, marveling at this pharmacy!”

“I was really nervous about Hopewell closing, but I heard good things about the Medicine Shoppe. I like to support local, so I transferred all of our prescriptions. I'm so glad I did. The first time I walked in, it was like they knew me. My husband forgot to get his refills from his doctor, so they called and took care of all of it. I would have been happy, the pharmacist and the women working the counter were so friendly. But then both pharmacists from Hopewell came over, so now my prescription world has come full circle. I am happy as can be! And they even have a little book donation section that you can grab a book for a dollar and it goes to charity. Not to mention a great selection of over the counter things. What more could a girl ask for???”

“I went into the CVS tonight at around 7PM, to pick up a prescription for my husband. Which he needed very badly, due to an infection in his leg, that then spread to his entire body, putting him in the ER last night.I want to say how awesome this group of pharmacists are! I wanted to be sure they were acknowledged for their hard work and dedication to all of us Customer’s. Thank you! They all worked together to help me with my situation and I’m extremely grateful, as was my husband when I returned home.Thank you For your assistance today you all made our day!Jillian & Jeffrey”

“CVS keeps getting better, and Downingtown has always been better than average. That's saying a lot for a national brand. I especially appreciate the expertise of the pharmacy. They're courteous and a few of the staff are the best around. Recently, they got rid of the CVS pay, which was ok but the cell coverage was terrible and the transaction would sometimes not go through. Today, they have the CVS barcode for the rewards and they have apple pay for the transactions. The combination is super efficient, and along with the coupons, the full package is a great customer experience. If the prices were more realistic to begin with, I'd give 5 stars.”

“The pharmacy is in a small strip mall and has plenty of parking. The place is kept very clean and check out staff is friendly. Always greeting and engaging good conversations on purchases. Coming to the pharmacy, there were delays sometimes, but mostly, the prescriptions are filled on time, and they have in stock. Good place to get the flu shots.”

“Just wanted to give a HUGE shout out to the bakery staff at the Downingtown ACME. They went above and beyond baking and decorating cupcakes for my daughter’s birthday. Thanks so much!!!”

“Why do they say the pharmacy is open until 9 pm, but half an hour straight can’t answer the phone? Certain things require a call. It’s been an hour and no pick up. Not really sure what’s up? Do you have specific phone hours?”

“Wegmans is a good pharmacy and I really didn't have a problem until my husband recently went on Medicare. I was previously on the WellCare insurance and encouraged my husband to get on the same insurance since it cost nothing for Tier 1 drugs and $5.00 for Tier 2. My husband picked up his meds today and was charged $42.00. I told him something wasn't right because some of the meds were the same as mine and I had $0 copays. I called WellCare and found out that he should have only paid $5.00 for his five meds. I was told to tell him to go back tomorrow to get his money back. Please make sure you are being charged the correct amount for your formulary drugs. If you're not sure call your insurance carrier to ask what you should be paying for your meds. It could possibly save you a lot of money.”

“Pharmacy staff here was friendly, efficient and helpful on the phone on getting prescriptions transferred. Excellent customer service at the drive up window as well. They are not as well stocked in first aid items as other locations.”

“The staff here are really kind, but I have to say: the store is disgustingly dirty. Floors are dirty. I used the restroom 3 days ago, and it was GROSS. Thought it was a fluke. Came back today, and happened to need to use the restroom. it hasn’t been touched in that time. I know because there’s trash on the floor from 3 days ago. There’s also no way to exit the restroom without touching their absolutely disgusting door handles. Makes me question how clean their BOH is…maybe go to the rite aid in west Chester. It’s really clean there.”
