“Been going there for a month and I have found nothing but kind, generous and helpful people. The atmosphere is encouraging and hopeful, the instructors are enthusiastic and skilled. The facilities are clean and high quality. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to develop a striking skill set for any reason.”

“If you are looking for a place that is more than just workout equipment, come here. The trainers are excellent and very encouraging. The environment is very relaxed. They offer personal training sessions as well as classes and independence. I have been working out here for about 3-4 months and this feels like a second home to me. It can be costly but it is worth the investment. You will absolutely not be disappointed.

Tedesco also does fun little scavenger hunts or challenges like this. I love to do these and always have such determination to get them done. Not only that but it’s gets you going new places and doing new things you wouldn’t have previously. I truly love this gym!”

“Really great experience! Appears to be primarily female lead which my daughter is super receptive to. Great instructors all around. Extremely reasonable pricing and convenient class schedule. Intro class was 1 on 1 which eased all our unfamiliar minds. The little ninjas group (4-6 year olds) is a lot of skill focused games to keep them interested. Sibling discounts available.

Started showing them self defense. Really hard to watch and think about a 4 yo needing that but so important. Demonstrated it in a very safe manner. Taught when it was appropriate to use.

Highly recommend”

““I was on the edge of diabetes. Today, I am sixty pounds lighter and healthier than ever.
Alina is truly the best trainer I have ever worked with. After years of trying without success, I finally achieved my goal and lost sixty pounds in just eight months in a healthy and sustainable way. She never put me on fad or restrictive diets. Instead, she taught me how to eat in a way that fits my life. I regained my energy, and all of my health numbers returned to the normal range.
Her workouts are creative, motivating, and genuinely enjoyable. I truly look forward to them.
Working with Alina did more than change my body. It changed my life.””

“This is the perfect place to exercise: not crowded, knowledgeable and encouraging staff, affordable prices, and all the right equipment. On top of that, it's close to home!”

“Excellent experience. An extremely clean, kind and friendly gym. Some gyms can feel intimidating, especially those open to cross-fit and explosive open floor style training. However, Virtus Barbell is incredibly accommodating to all training styles and programs. They are receptive to all abilities and have excellent equipment. It has been a pleasure to be a member and I encourage all to stop in and inquire if you have questions and to see for yourself.”

“Sarah was an extraordinary mentor during my two months of kettlebell training. She carefully and attentively worked out the forms and techniques with the class. Now I have her voice in my head when working out at home, "straight back, shoulders back and down, strong and supported..." Shawn and Sarah are the very best and will give you the tools to change your life, and you'll have their indelible mentoring voices to guide you ever after.”

“Truly could not ask for a better gym or community of members. The coaches are all incredibly knowledgeable and able to provide great feedback to help improve your performance, and the members are so supportive, friendly, and happy to see you succeed. Owners Jamie and Adam have done a wonderful job of cultivating a great and positive environment! Couldn’t imagine working out anywhere else!”

“My buddy invited me to drop in at CrossFit Tantrum while I was near Pittsburgh, and the experience absolutely did not disappoint. From the start, the vibe was welcoming and laid-back in the best way. I jumped into open gym and got to throw down with some truly amazing humans—people who work hard, encourage each other, and clearly love what they do.

The atmosphere struck a great balance between intensity and community. Everyone was locked in, getting after it, but still taking the time to connect, joke around, and make a drop-in feel like part of the crew. That kind of culture doesn’t happen by accident—it’s built intentionally, and it shows.

If you’re in the Pittsburgh area and looking for a gym with strong energy, good people, and a place where effort and camaraderie go hand in hand, CrossFit Tantrum is absolutely worth the visit.”

“If you want the best Crossfit gym, with amazing top-notch coaches and an awesome community, then Wayfarer is the place. My only regret is that I didn't start here sooner. I wasn't new to Crossfit, as I had been a member elsewhere for four years. I've now been at Wayfarer for over a year. The progress that I made in this past year, far exceeded my expectations. Literally, tears of joy with what I've been able to accomplish. My technique is so much better, my lifts are heavier and my skills are stronger. The owner, Nate has a true passion for not only Crossfit, but seeing every member reach their full potential. This is reflected not only by him and his gym, but his entire coaching staff. I've learned skills in one year, that I didn't have the opportunity to do before. The ownership, the programming, the community and the events, are unmatched. I could go on and on about how amazing it is, but I'll just end with... I'll see you at Wayfarer Crossfit!”

“Today was my 2nd anniversary as a member. I joined after a friend convinced me I could do it (even though I had my doubts) & that age and fitness level doesn’t matter. I did a trial and will not deny my body could tell I wasn’t in great shape. But… I stuck out the trial and signed on for 6 months. Best decision ever! My friend was right when she said it gets easier. (still can’t do more than 1 double under but can just about do a pull up unassisted) The environment is so welcoming with great staff and trainers but the other members are what really make it fun. We are all in it together and cheer each other on like the family we are. I don’t have young children but the child watch is great for the parents who bring their children while they work out & the children who have fun playing and engaging with other children. If you are looking for a gym that is for anyone (guys & gals) regardless of their fitness level consider a visit or a class. The trainers will help with any modifications you need for any reason. You got this!???”

“Stellar place to train. Great place if you wanna just shoot the spit with the regulars or wanna train in silence by yourself. Solid equipment, very responsive owners, clean, and open 24/7. Can't ask for more.”

“I'm a member; I have been for 3+ years. This gym has every thing you need to get in shape for the first time or stay in shape if you're already an experienced trainee. The premises is very safe & well maintained with more than adequate parking.

The club itself is clean with very clean bathrooms; equipment is very well maintained in terms of both functionality & cleanliness.

They offer cardio equipment such as 6 treadmills, and 6 elliptical exercise machines.

As for weight lifting equipment, they offer dumbbells from 5-100 pounds, as well as resistance bands of all resistance levels for all trainees.

Snap Fitness also offers a a bench press, an incline bench press, a Smith machine (which can be used to perform virtually any type of exercise), and a decline bench press, among other equipment available on site. These items are all very popular.

The gym also offers many machines that simulate all types of weight lifting exercises.

The gym's manager offers limited group fitness classes. He is very knowledgeable about matters of fitness; in addition, he is quite the pleasant conversationalist. I've always known him to very helpful, patient and gentle with beginners; however if you are an advanced trainee who needs someone to push you, he can do that also. I'm sure Todd would love for you to join his group class.

Most people are too busy working out to even notice you anyway. There is no 'gym intimidation' or judgement; It's just not that type of environment.

Members run the whole range of shapes and sizes. It really doesn't matter what you look like as long as you have a nice attitude and go there to work out, no one will ever have a cross word or a nasty look for you.

It is a very comforting environment. in fact, I had my mother join a few months back she is in her mid 60s and not in good shape. She had never actually worked out in her life. She just went in to the gym and started her workouts very light, such as walking on the treadmill at 2.0 miles an hour for only 10 minutes, and nobody looked or said anything. She had said previously that she was intimidated to go there because everyone would be in better shape than her, as well as younger; well she quickly found out was not true. Within 2 or 3 visits, she felt totally comfortable there; and she goes every day ?.

All ages are happily welcomed & accepted! Just this morning, I worked out alongside a woman in her 70s, 2 others likely in their 60s, several gentlemen in their 50s, & a man in his late 30s. Other times, I find myself working out with high school or college students, as well as young professionals. I'm 40 and have a very wide cross-section of friends at the gym.

The gym is never crowded; I often go at various times of day or when is convenient, but never at a set time. And I have noticed the least crowded times are about 1 pm or
4 pm. At those times, you are highly likely to be alone, or have 1-2 others sharing the facilities with you.

The most crowded times are 11 am or 6-6:30 pm. Even then, you are likely to be sharing the gym with possibly as many as 12-15 other trainees. And the gym is capable of comfortably accommodating about 30 trainees. Crowding is never an issue.

The fact that the gym is open 24 hours/day prevents a big log jam at typically busy times. You can go easily at 5 or 6 pm when most people are rushing to 'hurry up and wait' at their gym, and have a great workout at your gym, not being hurried along, waiting for equipment, & generally having an unpleasant experience.

I've never had to wait more a minute to use equipment. People will let you 'work in' with them. Sharing is the norm.”

“This place is fantastic. My in-laws live nearby and I've dropped in a ton. Classic CrossFit programming with super nice people in an extraordinarily clean and well kept facility. Owner Dave couldn't be more welcoming or nice to guests. Big fan.”

“Most people say that when you are older, you become invisible. That is not the case at OTF. The coaches and staff members are very welcoming, personable, and encouraging. The coaches never hesitate to correct your form when needed or help you adjust an exercise based on a personal limitation. OTF is a challenging workout but the only one you are competing with is yourself. Thanks Monroeville OTF, you are awesome!!”

“Had our 4 year old daughter in private swim lessons with Mister Paul and Miss Gwen for almost the last year. We had been searching for a while for private lessons and were lucky enough to work with Rachel getting started with classes. The amount of progress our daughter made in just a few months was remarkable. Not only that but they are extremely flexible with scheduling and vacations, etc. Couldn’t be happier with our time spent there. My only complaint is I wish it were closer to our house. Pricing was reasonable and felt fair for the services and time provided. All of the regulars at the pool were sweet and accommodating to our daughter. Wouldn’t hesitate to return if our situation were to need further private lessons. Thanks to all!”

“I enjoy the gym. My home gym is McMurray they have tons of machines to use. And one by my house in Robinson is good too. Every time I try a different gym. The building is brand new and new equipment and barely have any machines to work with. I came in to do shoulders and few legs and had enough machines.”

“Love the new pilates classes!
4 stars because I cannot make it to class on a workday as a nurse because my shifts are 7AM to 730PM. I would go to a 5:30 AM or 8 PM class if they were available :)”

“I have been going to the Greensburg PF for a few years and I have never had a single issue. Management and the PF team could not be nicer or more helpful. The place and equipment are always clean and in good working order. My biggest praise is for the people who work there. Turnover may be an issue... The faces change, but the kindness and responsiveness of the team is always at a high standard. Thanks PF Team!”
