“I highly recommend Universal Tire & Auto. I've brought several of my vehicles to them over the years, and one of the biggest reasons I continue to trust them is their honesty.
They've done some major work on my Honda Pilot, including the timing belt and rear main seal, and everything has been good since. But what really stands out to me are the times when they could have made money from me and chose to simply be honest instead.
When I brought my Mercedes in for an airbag issue, they were upfront that it wasn't something they felt comfortable taking on rather than attempting a repair they weren't confident they could properly handle. I respected that.
Another time, I brought my Pilot in because I was concerned about a leaking axle. They could have easily told me it needed to be replaced immediately, and I probably would have believed them. Instead, they told me it wasn't bad enough to justify replacing yet and to just keep an eye on it because it would eventually need to be done.
That's the kind of thing that earns my trust. They don't try to upsell me or make every issue sound urgent just to get more work. When something needs to be done, they'll tell you, and when it can wait, they'll tell you that too.
Good workmanship is important, but finding a shop that you feel is genuinely honest with you is just as important. Universal Tire & Auto has earned that trust from me, and that's why I continue to bring my vehicles to them and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.”

“I drove out from New York with my family to visit Sesame Place, and as I was pulling into the parking lot, my engine suddenly began overheating. I called three mechanic shops in the area, but unfortunately, none of them were able to take my car.
Thankfully, the staff at Pep Boys, just a mile from Sesame Place, were willing to help. They diagnosed the problem and found that my radiator was cracked. They were able to repair the car and have it ready by the end of the day.
They took the time to break down the cost, explained everything clearly, and made sure I understood exactly what I was paying for. Most importantly, the car is running great again.
I really appreciate their help, especially being out of state with my family and needing to get back on the road. Great customer service when I needed it most!
Diagnosis + Coolant + Engine test + new radiator + Labor + warranty and etc I paid $1385. Felt expensive however I did need to get home that same day.
