“I choose to support Golden Dawn because they are a small business and not a corporation. We always buy their meats then other things. They do try their best to please customers and they have been, even with the new owners. Prices are to be expected a little higher than bargain-off brand grocery stores. I'll continue to give them our business.”
“Sometimes a little hard to find what you're used to shopping for but if you want a quick alternative to the overwhelming WalMart noise and options you'll save time and money going here. Only complaint is I frequently want to buy only a few items, but get stuck waiting in a long line for a single cashier.”
“Nice, clean, smaller grocery store. Great place to go if you just need to run in for something or fill a whole grocery order. Their prepared foods are really good (my husband is a big fan of their fried chicken, and I like their pizza). Friendly staff, too.”

“Great little store . Has a great selection for a smaller size store. A big parking lot with room to park with out someone hitting your doors . The meat department has a very friendly staff along with the deli and the whole staff . A great place to shop . They have staff stocking the shelfs most of the day .”
“Nice local store for a good variety of stuff that isn’t found elsewhere. The prices sometimes more than other places, but if you understand retail sourcing you’d easily understand why they are. Deli has great meats and friendly workers as well.”

I thought they forgot to put an item in my bag and he was going to give me the price of the item off my next visit. But I Found the item and called him back to apologize and he chuckled and said no problem it happens and thanked me for being honest with him”
“I come to this area from downtown a few times per year and stop here often. It's easy to get to from the road. It's never very packed. The lines are never that long. They have a nice deli, bakery and more. I like it!”

“Great prices and selection of products. I hate grocery shopping but this location has a Starbucks so it makes it much manageable. However I was there to get a small amount of dog food.lllll However, I guess you no longer have baskets .....covid maybe?? After searching around for a small cart or basket I ended up carrying 6 packs of dog food thru the store with a full coffee. Not an easy task. Then I had to wait in line for ever including the u-scan. If baskets are to hard to clean maybe give out bags or something like that. It was very difficult.”
“This store has really improved in the variety of items it offers. I like to go on Saturdays when they have the $5 off $25 and use other coupons to get the best savings.”
“Dollar general is a nice store. They have just about everything you need. I like the products too. The prices are reasonable as well. What bothers me though, in every single store in this particular chain in my area, the isles are overcrowded with items and you can't get through. It looks messy and unkempt. It's also a safety hazard. My suggestion is to always remove ladders during working hours. Create a better shelving display so that items aren't on the floor and customers can actually view the products. What frustrates me the most is when I'm waiting and calling out for a cashier to help check me out. I also don't like when employees get snippy. I understand they get understaffed but you don't take it out on the customers. I believe one cashier should stay behind the counter at all times. Finally, never disrespect an employee by chastising them in front of customers. This causes humiliation with your employees and it makes management look bad. If you have an issue, wait until you have a free moment and take them to a private place where you can calmly explain what it is they are doing wrong. It's not very professional to lose your cool with an employee in front of customers. That is just poor work ethic.”

Very nice and seasoned garden staff mgr. John i believe his name is. He knows his stuff! Great ? job keeping him around. Everyone else is super friendly and also seems to know plants! This is one of my fav places to go for live plants bc mostly the staff. I'm closer to another Walmart (and Lowes). Yet I'll travel further to get some nice associates who know what they're talking about! You all just got new plants in and it's the 4th of July! I'm excited. Gonna buy some more and ck out the great deals!”

It got backed up besause the couple people in the front of the line were using the regular checkouts and no one else knew that they could go use the EMPTY self checkout lines.”
“Cheerios for $6.99 is a bit crazy but overall we love this store. It’s a small vibe and I really like that in these fast, big store times. Reminds me of shopping as a kid in the 90’s :)
The cupcakes the bakery makes are so yummy we get them often. Love that they offer sushi!

I would give 5 stars if some things (name brand) weren’t massively cheaper at dollar general or other stores nearby. Employees are always nice to us when we go. Love how interactive the owners of all locations are with their customers as well online! Makes you feel appreciated as customers :)”

“Friendly overwhelmed associates. Come on Dollar General, hire at least one stock person per store. They should do NOTHING but stocking shelves. In addition to a stock person, be sure to have a cashier to check out the customers only. Could be considered an attempt to cut down on the "millions" of complaints about aisles being constantly overflowing with product, at EVERY store. It's really not that hard to figure out. Get back to caring about customer satisfaction and do something about this major issue. EDIT 1/2/23: Over the last few months, I've noticed more help at this location. Store doesn't have the blocked aisles as it's had in the past. One suggestion, bring out one or two carts of products from the truck at a time. Try not to bring the majority of them in from loading dock resulting in clogged aisles. Great job ladies, thank you!”

“I been coming here since they have opened and I have got to say, I have seen a huge improvement. I think the new manager Zac has completely taken that store to another level. There no longer is carts everywhere and trash laying around and the store looks clean and organized. This is by far my nkw favorite dollar general!”
“Everything! I especially like the Dollar General right next to the new Kensington bridge. They are always stocked And always have what I need. Another thing nice about this Store is that everything is always fresh, which is a major plus! I would rather go to Dollar General because it is easy to maneuver around unlike Walmart where you have to walk a mile to get from one end of the store to the other. Kudos Dollar General.”
