2135 Jenkintown Road, GlensideI can’t say enough good things about Rau Animal Hospital. I bring both my cat and my dog here, and every experience we’ve had has been wonderful. The facility is clean and welcoming, and the entire staff has always been kind and helpful. But what really stands out to me is the level of care we’ve received from Dr. Kwong.
My dog, Tess, has several serious and terminal health issues, and Dr. Kwong has been an absolute angel throughout all of it. She keeps me updated when new information comes in, gets back to me quickly when I have questions, and always takes the time to discuss our options with compassion and without making me feel rushed. It’s very clear that she genuinely cares about her patients and the people who love them, and I’m incredibly grateful for everything she has done for us.
The vet techs have also been amazing. We come in regularly for allergy shots and nail trims, which Tess absolutely hates, and every tech we’ve worked with has consistently prioritized her comfort rather than just trying to get the appointment done quickly. We came from a vet where speed seemed to take priority, so having a team that genuinely pays attention to how Tess is handling everything means the world to me.
When you have a pet with complicated health issues, having a veterinary team you trust makes such a huge difference. I feel genuinely cared for at Rau, and more importantly, I know my pets are cared for. I’m incredibly grateful we found this practice and would highly recommend Rau Animal Hospital to anyone looking for a team that truly cares about their patients.

The staff was welcoming and the food was delicious! I got the BLT and Italian hoagie and loved both. I’m new to the area and def will be returning!

Philly Pretzel Factory
501 Edge Hill Road, GlensideMy son and daughter both love pretzels, so I stop here pretty often to pick some up for them. The staff has always been friendly, and it’s usually an easy place to get in, grab what I need, and go.
The kids enjoy the pretzels, the service has been good, and the prices are reasonable. Overall, it’s a convenient spot and a place I’ll keep coming back to.

The Highland Pub & Kitchen

Like the first time I came here for lunch (which was delicious and came out of the kitchen very quickly), the waitress noticed the table was wobbling and she took a shim from her pocket and fixed it. Also this is the first place I've ever been where the bar seats are actually comfortable. Like you can actually get your stool under the ledge and eat comfortably, which I can't say for any other bar.
