I came in after having spent the whole night searching for my keys. I went into every store along the Northern side of the Skippack strip, and while everone was very helpful despite my frantic and disheveled state, the only store to offer an extenuating call to both myself and the other stores was this store: The Copper Partridge! “I took my brother Joe in today to have a watch band fitted for him. Joe is an exceptional person, and he’s also disabled. This can make communication a bit more challenging in new situations, especially with people he’s just met.
Joe waited a few weeks for his watch to get properly fitted, so I’ll admit I was a little anxious walking in. I needn’t have been. Within thirty seconds of entering the store, Kris (the owner) sized up the situation and had Joe smiling and completely at ease. Ten minutes later, three links removed, and the watch fit Joe’s wrist perfectly.
Joe was thrilled. I was thrilled seeing Joe thrilled. But what stuck with me most was that Kris seemed genuinely happy to have made Joe’s day. That’s not something you can train, it’s just who Kris is.
