“The storeowner, Rich is a wealth of knowledge and has a pleasant small town demeanor you won't find anywhere else. Rich knows most folks by name, as many of us have been gift shopping here for years. He's been in the business his whole life, as it has been passed down through the generations. It is still known to most as Poor Richards, but has been FP Kolbe for quite some time now. Perhaps it is less catchy than PR, but given that the business is family owned and passed down-the name FP Kolbe is a fitting authentication with originality. There are oodles of candles and home decor. The old hotel building layout lends itself to a meandering browse through rooms, surprised at what is around every corner. The atmosphere is cozy, unlike what you'll feel in big box stores and franchises. Rich always knows what the best deals are in the area on pots and statuary, and his stuff is always priced just right* while other nearby garden supply stores have prices through the roof. Conveniently located next to the cafe, you can get some lunch or breakfast and coffee before or after shopping in the store-without having to hustle and bustle to the next river town because of grumbling tummies. It's prime location on the Delaware River and Towpath because the Byram Bridge is the next house down. So, you can bicycle or walk or run from up or down the river on the path and cross the old bridge over the canal to FP Kolbe where you will be welcomed in to a cozy shopping experience.”
“Great selection of antiques and collectibles and gorgeous jewelry. Three floors so allow plenty of time. The basement especially fun to explore. There's such a great variety. Lovely vintage clothes and accessories too.”

“The ambiance of Zinc Home + Garden is cozy and relaxing with artsy & vintage decorations.The product collection was various with reasonable price and great design which we can feel the owner has a good taste.However, it is kind of narrow-spaced that we had a concern when we shopped there during the pandemic.”

“We bought a new mailbox at Bucks County Gardens and were shocked (in a good way!) with how easy the process was, and how nice the results turned out. We picked style, colors and lettering and were informed that wed be informed that Geoff would be doing the installation and would contact us when our order was in. Geoff called shortly afterwards, came by two days later and did a beautiful, high quality install in under 2 hours. He took the old mailbox out, repaired the original site with dirt & grass, repositioned and dug out the new site, constructed, leveled, cleaned, created a circle of stone (unexpected) and left us with a beautiful new addition to our home. (He had also had the electric, water and cable lines mapped out the day before… also unexpected). We could not recommend Geoff and Bucks County Gardens more highly!”

“We had a situation arise suddenly that required a locksmith, we were unable to lock the house with the key or from the inside. I called locksmith with knobs and knockers the next morning. I spoke with Dan initially and then Nelson. Nelson is who actually got us scheduled same day and that was certainly appreciated. Communication was excellent, work was completed efficiently, professionally and was truly refreshing to experience this level of customer service. Thank you!!!”
“It can be hit or miss but usually more hits . I have found some truly remarkable big and smalls here . The staff is super helpful. This is the type of place you need to come with low expectations and be pleasantly surprised . I wish I knew how often the vendors switched out merchandise but I guess that's the mystery of life Regardless, I always find something here . “Pirela Atelier in Lambertville is a gem of a store- the quality and range of items there are a feast for the eyes. Alirio Pirela (the founder) is a smart and engaging designer, with a fabulous eye for quality with impeccable taste and style in his refurbishing/ refinishing. The quality of his hand picked items was amazing- and he shared generously of his time and knowledge. I have shopped for years in Lambertville, and have always loved the quality of the stores I have frequented. His store is a stand out among them. Melinda and her team were great to work with me to document the incident with photos and reach out to the manufacturer. I had my new replacement piece several weeks later.
