6787 Lincoln Hwy, JeannetteDr. Alley has been my dog, Roxy’s, vet for 15+ years. Last year she got extremely sick and we couldn’t figure out what was wrong with her. Dr. Alley has went above and beyond to help my dog (and I) figure out what the issue was. Diane, who works at the front desk, is also amazing. She is always so helpful in fitting us in and finding the best cost for the many medications that my dog needs. Donaldson Animal Hospital has always been there when we have emergencies and I am so grateful to this facility and their workers for being so helpful and caring to my fur baby.

Today they made a very difficult situation a little better.
Shout out to the Jeannette DQ! On our way to the a Vet with Max our German Shepard, we noticed that the window was open at our DQ on Rt 130 in Jeannette/Hempfield. We had to pull over to rearrange the seating with the dog in the Explorer. I went up to the window and asked if by chance had any Ice Cream to give our dog. I explained where we were headed and why. The owner said "Hold on 1 Minute". A minute later he came walking around the corner with a dish of Ice Creame for our Max. He asked if he could see him. I opened up the hatch and he gave him the ice creame and petted Max for a few minutes. Can't thank him enough. This little jesture of kindness was huge for us. We were able to give Max one last treat! Thank you so much. I hope this message goes viral and you get paid 1,000 fold. You totally deserve it. Dairy Queen (Treat)

Ketters Restaurant Catering
221 S 4th St, JeannetteNothing is more comforting than having a quick lunch at a relaxed, neighborhood restaurant steeped in local history. Ketter's Restaurant is just such a place. Most of us have come to expect average food at a local diner. Ketter's food is not above average -- it's excellent. The reason for this is attention to detail. Every part of the meal is given special attention: a perfectly grilled bun, the right amount of lettuce and tomato, expertly cooked meat (in my case steak). They don't pile fries on the plate. Instead, it's just the right amount, cooked to perfection with the right amount of crunch covering a fluffy inner tater. Ketter's gives you twice what the others do in terms of excellence at half the price (or so). I love the ambience of this place. It's clean, with large booths. The laminated tables contain decoupage ads for local businesses. The wall mounted TVs are tuned to horseracing and Keno, courtesy of the Pennsylvania Lottery (how quaintly, quintessentially Jeannette). The creamers, jellies, and salt are displayed on the table in adorable mini-fry baskets. The service is welcoming and friendly. The food arrives in a reasonable amount of time and is served hot. In fact, if your food is up and your server is busy elsewhere, somebody else brings it to you, which, to me, is another consideration of detail that help to make the overall dining experience quite pleasant.
