“The store was clean and welcoming. The young lady that was stocking the shelves was the manager. She had me stay in the store longer than I expected. By her beautiful voice. When I say she can sing she can sing her heart out. Plus they had more items in that compare to a lot dollar stores I have visited in the past. This will be my to go store for now on. My Mom passed away on Christmas morning. And with everything I'm going through the young lady at this store really made my heart smile. Thank you so much for that.”
“There were plenty of employees to help me, it was great. Thank you. I was surprised how much better the liquor prices were than Delaware and PA yea, soo much better. Guess the temporary 10% tax on alcohol for the 1936 flood that was supposed to be TEMPORARY is now 18%. Pennsylvania tax payers we are such suckers for big government.”
“This place is great! Wish I'd come here sooner.. I can get most of what I can't find at aldi here.. great selection, amazing prices! Will definitely be back!”
“I always love of Five Below because they have so many cool things. The people that were nice I was able to find everything I needed I just hate how they charge for using bags.”
“It surprised me both about what they had available and what wasn't available. Some stores strive to provide a seemingly endless variety of products. Grocery Outlet seems very selective about putting reasonably priced merchandise on their shelves and in their refrigerated cases. So far, those reasonably priced items are sufficient for our needs and our tastes.”
“I love this store. It the only store in this area immediate area that has the selection and range of products that are available here. This store sells just about alittle of everything. Prices are generally too good to pass up. And no matter what it's one of them store ur just going into to get one or two things and end up leaving an hr later with a few bags of things. I know I can never be quick when I go in, something always catches my eye and distracts me. Lol”
“Price and quality combine perfectly in this store. I was very impressed by the service provided by the salesperson, Muhammad. He is a professional of the highest caliber—highly knowledgeable, refined, and polite. Muhammad is the ideal salesperson. Overall, the atmosphere in the store is calm. The merchandise is neatly arranged, and the prices are very reasonable.”
“For how much inventory and the wide variety of items they have, the store is always clean and organized. The selection of unique flavors of foods is awesome, I'm always finding a new snack or some interesting ingredient. The seasonal section is always stocked, too. I've always had friendly, interesting cashiers every time I've shopped here. Love it.”
“I had came in with an order of 30 balloons and the women who helped me were SUPER nice and sweet. Thank you for being so helpful! I really appreciate their kindness here. The store is also organized and very clean.”
“The actual warehouse was a great experience Armando went above and beyond to explain all the pallets to us including pricing ... He was such a big help ! From NY ❤I still want my ninja slushie maker for my party 🥳 lol thank u (insider)”
“the nice man with long dreads greeted me so warmly at the door. helped me look around and find what i went in there for. he deserves a huge raise every worker anywhere should he like him! he made my day”
“I’ve had the pleasure of shopping, working with and getting to know the owners on a personal and business level. The owners and their staff are friendly, welcoming, supportive and know their stuff. I’d recommend anyone to come here to get loose helium balloons, party needs or any of the cool Knick knacks they have!!”
“Typical of most 5below locations. Great place to shop for all the little things you may need. Phone Chargers, phone cases. Coloring books. Tshirts. Hat. Pool side things. Candy and snacks. Even games and self help books. Speaker, glasses you name it. You can most things you need quick and day to day here. Great staff and helpful as well quick service. Not usually super busy, depending on when you go so that's also a plus.”
“We had our granddaughter's help find gifts for Samaritans purse. One picked a boy the other a girl. The prices are 30 percent more from the last time we did this, but helping a deserving child somewhere in the world priceless. Can you tell which is for a boy or girl?”
“This store ? has everything that you need and want since i been coming here never had a problem. With the people that work they are so kind and helpful and respectful been coming here for about 2 or 3 years love it and thank you besafe.”
“I believe Five Below is more favorable to the younger people especially college students but of course friends and family can gift them with things they can use. I drop in once in a while to purchase a cold drink or just to see if there is something I can use. I favor this store when I am purchasing batteries.”
“Lot has changed quite a bit in the retail industry over the last five years! While it’s always evolving, I think it’s safe to say that things shifted a lot since Covid. Five Below, if I'm not mistaken, used to focus on items priced at five dollars or less, but now you can find everything from super low prices to items that go up to $10-$15. They've managed to keep people engaged by offering a little bit of everything—from essentials like toiletries (think shampoo and shaving cream) to seasonal clothing, school supplies, and office supplies. They even have a small electronics section featuring accessories like tons of cables, earbuds, headphones, and phone cases. There’s also a section for fitness gear and a toy aisle. I can’t recall everything they have, but you can really find just about anything there, including some snacks and drinks—though it’s not a full grocery store, just some convenient items for when you’re in need. The store itself is bright and cheerful, which I really appreciate, and shopping there is a breeze. The aisles are spacious and easy to navigate, and prices are clearly displayed. I particularly like that they offer samples of colognes and perfumes in certain areas, which makes for a fun discovery experience. If you’re looking for a quick accessory for your phone at a fair price, it’s definitely worth stopping by, especially since the quality is better than what you'd find at some cheaper stores. The checkout process was pretty swift, even with just one cashier. I couldn’t resist picking up a box of cologne for just five bucks! I’m not usually into colognes, but hey, it was a deal! Oh, and they have some really good books and a few healthier snack options mixed in among the typical everyday treats. There are definitely a few items here that caught my eye!”
“I’ve been shopping at this store for years and can usually find everything I need. The staff and cashiers are always so friendly and helpful—it’s always a great experience!”
“This store is awesome! They have a large variety of items. You can find great gifts, houseware, home decor and more. Not to mention, they have a great assortment of hookah. If you go to this store and you will find great deals on a ton of different things.”
“I am satisfied with the variety available at this store and their amazing low prices. There are many household items and some are good quality too. Would recommend for anyone just moving into a new place to shop here. They have everything. Note that some of the pre- packaged food/snack items are close to their manufacturer’s expiration date and are therefore heavily discounted. Other items have a longer shelf time available.”
“Wonderful place... Even the people that shop there. I was in line once and the person in front of me had a whole lot of groceries and I only had four and that person let me go first. So not just the workers but even the shoppers. (The dudes stocking the shelves can be a holes though.) A great place to shop though.”
“Great customer service. I called ahead of my arrival for a particular item. The item was at the counter when I got there. The cashier was absolutely delightful. Five stars isn't enough they deserve 10 stars.”
“We love getting what we can here because the employees are so kind and wonderful. They really go out of their ways to be welcoming and friendly and helpful. So we always end up having a great experience! We hope the employees will always get all the support and recognition because they’re who keep us coming back!”
“Patricia was amazing, great customer service, even though she's working a double! You go girl! This place has a great variety and large selection. I definitely recommend stopping by here before you go anywhere else.”
“Great Store.Many good items.great choices.Found what I needed.The employees were very helpful.and professional.Great Store.Great Atmosphere.Great Merchandise.I made a wise decision in shopping at D D's Discount today and will return when I can.”
“This is one of those stores where you walk in looking for a strainer and you walk out with a screwdriver, an outlet extender, latex gloves, 3 lottery tickets, and a turkey baster. You forgot the strainer, rinse and repeat. Seems to be run by a nice Korean family, it's a good alternative to Daiso since there isn't one anywhere around here. Recommend you explore the aisles, you'll see things you didn't know you needed. The tool/hardware section is surprisingly well stocked. My one caveat is that I wish they didn't sell betta fish, they usually don't look like they're doing very well.”
“Be careful going to 5 below it's cheap for a reason because you can spend a million bucks in here. I spent 400.00in here the other day. They have a lil bit of everything and for five bucks you need it all and you buy it all. Cashiers are friendly and security is to. Safe area with plenty of parking”
“I had a huge purchase today shopping for our elementary school bingo night. The manager who worked this afternoon, 10/25, and the two staff members, one male and one female, were so so great! Like I said it was a large order and they helped me check out, figured out the bag situation, and helped me get everything into my car. I don’t usually write retail reviews but they were really just so nice and helpful and really went the extra mile and I hope are recognized by their leadership. Thanks again!”
“I love this new Dollar Tree great selections, clean, and the employees are very nice and so professional. I hope they keep their standards high and not become the dollar trash mart like many of their other locations.”
Burlington Stores is giving its locations a major makeover. The off-price retailer has already transformed about half of its 1,115 stores and plans to complete the redesign across its entire fleet by the end of 2026. The company calls this makeover "Store Experience 2.0." Gone are the cramped aisles and confusing layouts that once defined discount shopping. Instead, Burlington is creating wider walkways, organized sections, and clearer signs to help shoppers find what they need.
Dollar General is adding more of its private label food offerings to stores, following similar moves by big retailers like Walmart and Amazon as store brands keep growing in popularity. The store is launching new items under its own labels, including ice cream, cinnamon rolls, coffee syrups, and salad dressings. The move comes as store brand sales reached $271 billion in 2024, up nearly 4% from 2023.
Daiso, the beloved Japanese retailer known for its variety of affordable household goods, is expanding further in the U.S. market. This week, the company is celebrating the grand openings of three new stores in Texas and California. On Saturday, Aug. 10, Daiso debuted an 8,000-sq.-ft. location in Beaumont, Texas, at Dowlen Towne Center, as well as two Southern California stores - a 6,319-sq.-ft. space in Van Nuys at Mid Valley Marketplace and a 5,200-sq.-ft. store in Westminster at Westminster Center.
Dollar Tree is moving into 170 former 99 Cents Only stores, marking a big shift in the discount retail landscape. The company announced Wednesday it's taking over leases in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Texas, with plans to reopen the stores under its own brand as early as fall 2024.
Ollie's Bargain Outlet just landed a great deal of its own, winning a $14.6 million bankruptcy auction for 11 former 99 Cents Only store locations across Texas. The discount retail chain pounced after 99 Cents Only abruptly went out of business in March, shuttering all 371 of its stores in California, Arizona, Texas, and Nevada. Ollie's quickly made an opening "stalking horse bid" to grab over a dozen of the empty properties.
