“First time dining at Yorgos. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff and given two menus to review: Yorgos and Kefi. Similar offerings and pricing with more entree selections upstairs at Kefi. Downstairs at Yorgos is a neighborhood bar/restaurant. Feels like Cheers, where they know your name! Little louder with TVs on to watch news and sports. More casual place to hang out. The decor is more a pub feel downstairs. Upstairs has an upscale, updated, decorative vibe. The teal painted walls and brushed gold accents were beautifully appointed. Great for date night and special occasion or a relaxed and quiet spot. It was elegant, but not pretentious. We ate upstairs in Kefi as we wanted a quieter experience and celebrated my birthday. We sat in the front corner round booth which felt special like it's reserved for their VIP guests. We were escorted by George to the upstairs on their elevator. Emma greeted us when the doors opened. She was also our server and was very attentive and personable. To start, she brought 2 warmed dinner rolls. We had a bowl of Avgolemeno soup and the Saginaki with pita. I had the pastitsio for my meal which came with 3 dolmades. It also came with a small greek salad. My husband had the Grilled Chicken Soulvaki platter which also came with the dolmades. It was served on a large pita and tzatziki on the side with chopped tomatoes and onions with a side Greek salad. For dessert we had baklava. It was a generous cut. And since it was my birthday celebration dinner, Emma brought out a delicious chocolate cake slice adorned with a sparkler and a happy birthday pick. Everything was delicious and definitely worth the drive (over an hour away from home). All in all, it was authentically Greek and a good value. We would visit again!”
