Long's Park is an 80-acre scenic local favorite, popular all year round but especially in the spring and summer. It is a nice big park with a beautiful three-acre, spring-fed lake and pond, surrounded by a walking trail and paved paths where visitors can see turtles, ducks, fish, goldfish, and various kinds of birds. The park boasts outdoor amenities including several picnic pavilions, picnic tables, charcoal grills, big open fields, a petting farm and mini-zoo, four to five children’s playgrounds, tennis courts, a basketball court, a fitness trail, and a very nice amphitheater. Each year the park is home to a whole host of activities. In the summer, it hosts a free summer-long music series with free concert nights, where notable music groups draw quite a crowd. It is also home to a nationally acclaimed fine art and craft festival and art shows. The park is a perfect spot for a family picnic, a date, or a cookout. There is a walkway under the highway to the mall, and food and non-alcoholic drinks are available in the summer. There is no admission for the park itself.
Fall off the bone delicious ribs, can't wait to go back.

We enjoyed walking on the paved paths, crossing the bridges over the creek, seeing the ducks in the pond, and visiting the wetlands display. I wish the wetlands would have been displayed on the maps, when looking at the map it is above the pond, you can find it the Northwest part of the park

Walking in the cold around that pond is fun...and I rode over on the Harley to boot! Was very well cared for!
