“Great people and great prices! Took my car in a few weeks ago to make an appointment, after being told it's drivable from someone else. Check engine was on and after they looked at it,they took it right into the garage and they found and fixed my problem. They had me back on the road in an hour, and that was even staying after they were supposed to be closed. Great honest people!

2nd review, tires of my choice at a great price installed full brake replacement with rotors hundreds under the last shop I used for my last truck. I really can't understand why more people don't know about this shop! They won't over charge you and they always look out for your families safety. If you're looking for a place to slide you through, maybe not your stop!! People open your eyes too great service at a working income without the 6 to 8 week wait. Found a new home, hope a lot more of you see the light and call, they have your answer! My thoughts, working people for working people, don't pay higher prices for less service! This should be your new shop!!!”

“I wake up and go to start my truck when I see a huge screw with a washer in my tire. I googled garages in Jim Thorpe and no one is open on Saturday! Did you get that, no one is open on Saturday! L&M pops up in Bowmanstown 15 min away. They were able to get it fixed for me in no time at all, not that waiting would have been an issue if I needed to. They now have a new customer and I have renewed faith restored in businesses that understand the importance of being open on Saturday. Highly recommend.”

I was at Mauch Chunk Lake camping with my family when my car wouldn't start, fuel pump issue. I needed my car towed and I needed it repaired right away because we had to be out of our cabin the next day. Franks/Schliers (James) had me up and running the next day and charged me a fair price. I had a fantastic experience with McFarland and Sons Garage. I brought in my 2022 Audi Q3 due to an oil leak. After inspecting the vehicle, they informed me that the repair should be covered under my warranty and recommended having it picked up by the dealer. Thanks to their honesty, I had Ciocca Audi of Allentown pick up the vehicle and complete the repair.
Audi claimed the issue was fixed and even offered an optional oil change—for over $300. I declined and returned to McFarland for the oil change at a much more reasonable cost. During that visit, they noticed the car was still leaking, though less than before, and again suggested I take it back to Audi.
After several back-and-forth visits to Audi—armed with photos and observations from McFarland—Audi eventually acknowledged and repaired the issue McFarland had correctly identified from the beginning: a problem involving the solenoids and timing chain. McFarland confirmed the fix once I brought the car back to them.
Here’s what really stands out: McFarland never charged me for the second and third visits. They went above and beyond to ensure my car was safe and that the issue was fully resolved—even when the dealer didn’t get it right the first time. Their integrity, expertise, and dedication are unmatched.

“I've gotten tires here on multiple vehicles throughout the years. Got four new ones yesterday and specifically asked for new valves stems because the other ones don't register PSI correctly. They reused the old ones then when I pointed it out, the manager (don't remember his name) got my car right back in and made sure to replace all four. Super nice guy and super apologetic.
