“We’ve been going to Center City Vet for the last ten years. The staff is always so kind and will go above and beyond to ensure your pet is taken care of. We mostly see Dr Cohen, and he is simply wonderful. Smart, kind, empathetic. He never makes you feel rushed and explains everything clearly. We moved out of Old City 5 years ago but continue to drive in to see him.”
“We took a kitten that appeared on my front porch over and ran her through the program. Everything went well. Their new location is really nice and clean the oldlocation was nice but the new one is nicer.”

“Everything went great. I had to take my dog for an exam and back again for dental cleaning and procedure. The Dr. Is great and they are very reasonable on pricing. My only complaint is they do not answer the phone or return messages. After trying to contact them for a couple weeks I had to drive over to schedule an appointment”
“I have two cats who went to different clinics for their first visit and I can confidently say that World of Animals is the best and most affordable vet clinic in the Philadelphia area. At another place i was upcharged $140 just for exam, while World of Animals was only $90 visit fee. First difference between the clinics I noticed is that World of Animals staff treated my cat like she was the most beautiful girl in the world. Dr Flasik handled my cat with great care and definitely spent more time getting to know my cat than the other clinic did. Also the other place tried to sell me on Hills and gave me a goodie bag obviously marketed by Hills, while Dr Flasik and her team supported my cat's variety wet food diet as long as I brush my cat's teeth. Dr Flasik also took more time and care in addressing any issues or concerns I had about behavior. Overall, the vet and techs are highly knowledgeable about animals. This place truly cares about your pets like they are family, and I would NOT recommend going to a big corporate chain (VCA) even if they offer you a "complimentary exam" like I did for my kitten.”
“The scheduling and check-in process was easy and stress-free. The staff was super helpful and very nice. The pricing was affordable, and my two puppies are healing great from their neuter, microchips, and shots! They sent home pain meds for them as well as thorough discharge paperwork. This clinic is one hour from where I live, but between the reviews and the price, it was worth it! Highly recommend”
“I don't take my dogs to see Dr. Niggemeier often; it's always because they have an orthopedic problem. Every time I do need to go to the clinic, I am very grateful for the kind and knowledgeable care they receive. I don't know how much longer visits in the parking lot are going to go on (they are slightly disconcerting) but I understand the need for precaution these days and if my dogs have to keep being seen in the parking lot, it's worth it to see the doc and staff here.”

Communication and customer service is above and beyond, the urgent care aspect is a nice option should something come up as emergencies seem to. I feel confident with my cat in their hands every single time!”
“Had a wonderful experience. After going to another vet first, they tried to tell me surgery was the only option for my dogs ear/hematoma. I contacted Hamilton animal hospital and they gave me alternative options, which were less invasive and way more affordable. Dr. Erica was incredible. She cleaned her ears, drained the hematoma and gave her a steroid to help the healing process. The nurse, Rodney who helped keep my puppers at ease and calm through the entire procedure, was amazing! The entire office is so wonderful with animals, which sounds like a given but not all places are. They were quick and thorough, patient and kind. And my dog is now on her way to having relief from the pain. I highly recommend this business.”
“My dogs have been patients here for almost a decade. Nothing but good things to say. A lot of improvements and changes when the practice was handed off to the next generation (I believe our original Vets daughter took it over though not sure how many partners there are so I may be missing some details). They are always great at calling to remind about next years appointment. They also are great at offering those Vet extras without being to pushy”

“Simmons deserves 100 stars. Great neighborhood vet with a compassionate, experienced, and professional staff.It cost us ~$200 total without any insurance to get our 2 cats their checkup, and we were out the door in less than 45 minutes. The vet has a great touch with cats and was able to keep both of ours calm despite some necessary medical man-handling!Don't come here looking for easy parking - visit for the best neighborhood vet you could ever want.”
“The entire staff is very attentive, patient and kind. They’re very responsive via email and phone calls. The office is clean and inviting and we’ve always been seen on time. I love that it’s a cat only place since I’m not sure how my cat would react to being near dogs in a vet office! For being a smaller practice(I.e. not a chain such as VCA etc) I figured their prices might be be higher but they really aren’t. What we’ve paid for the services received has been completely reasonable. I look forward to continuing my cats care with them for years to come.”

I’ve been to the other 2 vet centers in the Northern Liberties area, and this one is by far the best and will continue to be my girl’s primary vet.”

“Last Tuesday my pup had surgery to remove a benign tumor at his primary care. That went fine but then Thursday rolls around and he decides to go bananas. The lack of walks and sedation fully wearing off made him into a wild dog. Running back and forth. So much so that it ripped his stitches out. So we're sitting on the couch at about 10pm and see there is blood puddling under his leg. Like any good dog parents we freak out. Normally we would do PenVet but for some reason we called the primaries number after hours. That's how we got directed to VEG. We spoke with the receptionist there and she said bring him on in. So first off this is like no other vet I've been to. You wait right in the middle of the action. It's not like others where you sit for an hour before anyone speaks to you. I was taken immediately back and a nurse came over to me right away. The doctor was going from patient to patient and you could see it all in real time. There was no oh the doctor will get to you later. They gave him a shot and I was able to hold him and keep him comfy on a couch while he passed out. Everyone was more than willing to explain every step and this may be a little too much for others but I watch him get prepped for his stitches. After that I felt like I was being a nuisance even though they assured me I wasn't. He got so relaxed he pooped on the operating table. Once it was finished the nurse was bringing him over and he just started peeing all over the nurse. The nurse said that's been happening all day was not phased. They put him on a bed in front of the couch I was on while he came too. Every one kept stopping to check on him. One nurse even cleaned his ears while we waited. I had mentioned how much he refuses to have it done when awake. You felt the love of the job from the staff. So we left at about 1:00am and 20 minutes of that was him waking up. They told me there is another one opening up in fishtown under the El. Cost was a little over a grand. Given the nature of ER visits That is NOT terrible. Highly recommend this place for emergencies.”
“They were absolutely wonderful! Our Boston scratched her eye and we called our vet plus 4 others, no one would see her. Called Providence, they were done for the day but the vet stayed to see our Lilly! Everyone was super nice and friendly. Will definitely be bringing our dogs back!”

“Veterinarian behavioralists are super hard to find. Dr. Reisner was responsive and had a great website to learn more info about services rendered.The wait times across the country are atrociously long (some had wait times of 6-8 months), so I was excited to hear about just a 6 week wait to have my dog be seen.Once I have our appointment, I will update the review. So far, so good though. ? Excited to get support for my little guy.”

“My regular veneration closed permanently and I needed a med refill for my older cat. The doctor at Bywood squeezed us in for a quick evaluation so he could go over his records and assume authorization on refills. That's compassion. Everyone at the desk is super nice and my only surprise was when I saw the bill and how reasonable the total was. I did some growling under my breath over the years at other vet bills. Bywood is a great find!”
“My 16 year old brussells who has been treated by Community animal hospital since he was a pup recently developed kidney failure and had to be euthanized. The kindness and compassion given to my dog and myself is indescribable.
