“Great store, always clean and store associates are always friendly! Remember now they dont have plastic bags anymore so youll have to buy a 35 cent bag , or carry your stuff or you can always bring in your own bag too! No biggie! I love stopping here for little gifts and to shop around!”

“This place is the best Dollar General around! The manager, Melissa, is awsom and so very nice and helpful. She keeps the place clean and stocked. She deserves a raise! Any problem that I may have, she takes care of it quickly. NEVER get rid of her! She is a very valuable employee. Any other Dollar General that I have been to in the past, like in East Stroudsburg, the employees are nasty and the place is dirty! Melissa is a great manager and I will NOT go to any other Dollar General! Melissa is the best!”

While the front-line workers were friendly and eager to help, I was pleasantly surprised with seeing the isles so organized and eye catching arrangements. “Up early and after breakfast at kitch en, we wanted to stop by Big Lots in that strip mall but it didn’t open until 10 am. I noticed a man exiting the DG there so stopped in hoping to find a few specific products.
Up one aisle, I encountered AIESHA, a personable employee busy stocking shelves. I loved her vibe and great energy. asked for the lawn & garden section.I saw the sign that mentioned BOGO, buy one and get one FREE. OK. 2 Citronella candles, 2 citronella spiral wrist bands, 2 plastic watering cans, 1 pack of fertilizing sticks.
I mentioned the sale to the cashier who thought it was buy one, get one 1/2!
Anyhow, she summoned the manager(?) who fixed the price on the water cans. I paid, then walked away to check my receipt because there was a line of customers. ALL the garden merchandise was charged at FULL PRICE. I returned to cashier and explained why wasn’t ALL the garden stuff discounted and she told me manager should have adjusted price while she was there!
Why wasn’t those sale items programmed into the algorithm of the computer from the start?
And why didn’t the manager look at other merchandise and make those adjustments. Very poor customer service.
Not happy that I had to leave those other items there.”

“Yesterday and today the Store is looking alot better!! You could never get down half the isles in this store because 2-3 cages of merchandise in each isle today there was barely any cages throughout the store and if so you could actually get around and down every isle. The new manager Jim is doing an excellent job!!”

“I was in this store quite a few months ago. I wasn’t really impressed and felt that it was worth the extra time to drive to Walmart in Tunkhannock to get the few items that I needed because it was dirty, disorganized and messy. NOT a pleasant experience. Today I was running late and had to stop to grab a couple of things. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much the store had changed. There was no dust on the shelves. The floors were clean and no clutter. The staff was friendly and helpful. I’ll be back!”
