“I had a fantastic experience at the Residence Inn by Marriott Wilkes-Barre Arena. This is a wonderful, larger Residence Inn property that truly goes above and beyond for its guests—I was even lucky enough to receive a free room upgrade during my stay!
The location is absolutely perfect. It’s incredibly convenient to all kinds of shopping and a great selection of nearby restaurants, including Applebee's, Outback Steakhouse, and Texas Roadhouse. As a bonus, the property offers beautiful, scenic views of the Scranton mountains.
The amenities here are top-notch. They have an excellent exercise room, a pristine swimming pool, and a great outdoor setup featuring a cozy fire pit and outdoor grills. It is just a beautiful place overall. What really ties it all together, though, is the staff—everyone I encountered was incredibly helpful, welcoming, and attentive.
Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, this place feels like a premium home away from home. I will definitely be back!”
“This was the cleanest hotel we’ve ever stayed at. Not even questionable spots on the sheets. Brand new mattresses bc we make sure to check for you know, if you know. No dust, clean floors and carpet. The pool was perfect temp and the hot tub was hot. We were across from the elevators and didn’t hear a thing! Best sleep in a long time. Shower was hot right away.
From the front desk to the breakfast team to the manager we met at check out. Everyone was amazing. All hotels should take note from hotel and how it’s run. We look forward to staying here if we are in the area again.
The only thing that could have made our stay any better would have been if the window was cleaned on the outside. I don’t know if there is anything that could actually be done but we were trying to watch the train in the distance.

“My stay with Home2Suites was above par !
I encountered a kind lady at the front desks whose name tag I believe said Dorothy.
She was very pleasant and you could tell by her interactions with the guests that she loves what she does ! She was very helpful with any questions we had and always made sure to speak with us when we passed by the front desk. :) 10/10 will be returning based off my interactions with her alone !”
“Was there for a Bridal Shower today.
Very impressive and elegant. The food was great and service was wonderful. Beautiful place to have an event!
Very Historic venue.
The only downfall is parking, today it was even worse because La Fiesta was going on at the courthouse square.
Love going to events there”

“Rooms and hotel are a bit dated but very clean. Free breakfast - tons to choose from and helpful staff. The front desk was absolutely amazing with providing local information, guides and instructions to an event we were attending. The Kirby center is right next door which was great for walking to our concert. Tons of restaurants, not a lot of shopping in the area.
Rooms: Clean and comfortable.
Nearby activities: Kirby Center is right next door
Food and drinks: There's a Dunkin one block away, several other restaurants within walking distance.”

“Loved the room it was handicap accessible and service dog friendly.the breakfast could be more of a variety and maybe some juice.only issue is if people like the idea of pet friendly places then at least clean up after your pets it's not the owners responsibility,they make poop bags for that. Otherwise I stay here when I am in town and love them and would recommend them to friends and family .thank you again for being so good to us”

“The staff here doesn't even look up from the desk. Like ever. You could walk by on fire and no one would notice. Didn't make me feel great about the traffic going in and out. Police were in parking lot both nights of our stay. Breakfast was good though. We stayed for a wedding and booking online was cheaper than the block rate they gave the bride. Wouldn't be my first choice if we were in the area again.”

“I have stayed here many times and this is the best place in the area. The rooms are always clean and the staff very nice. There is a Walmart right across the street as well as a bunch of restaurants and bars. I stay here even if I have meetings in Scranton.”

“Great hotel in the middle of plenty of stores and restaurants. Shares y the same parking lot area as a Residence Inn and a AAA. Clean rooms and all staff were nice and friendly. Small breakfast area with typical breads, waffle maker, juices, etc. Coffee available 24 hours a day. Fitness center is one of the largest hotel fitness centers and is two rooms. Would stay here again if in area.”
“I didn't want to stay here.. only place with a room. I am pleasantly surprised. Quiet and clean. 88 a night all in. 200 for Hampton Inn for the same time per night. Only thing missing is a pool. Management is amazing in keeping out the rif raft. Front desk is great.”

“Everything was good overall clean room, comfortable stay, and a solid breakfast. The gentleman running the breakfast was extremely friendly and made the experience better. There was a slight old smell in the building, but it didn’t affect the stay much. Definitely a good hotel for a overnight stop when traveling through. (Or in my case my semi truck breaking down and needing a place to stay while it gets fixed.)”

“This location has a unique place for you to park up in the back of the building and be able to walk across the ramp to the hotel has nice area for you to walk your dogs and plenty of spaces if you wanna park a oversize vehicle if you were planning on attending dog shows in this area. The rooms are beautiful very spacious and the beds are very comfortable.”
