Jacob did an amazing job working with me, listening to what I wanted and talking me through the purchase. I have never purchased a refrigerator without having inspected it, let alone in 20 minutes, but I feel confident that I’m going to love this when it is delivered on Thursday. Jacob researched what I had and compared what was different and better. It was a pleasant purchase experience. He was relatable and just a really nice guy.

“I came to the store, looking for a new washer after mine broke unexpectedly, and trying to get a repair turned into a disaster. The repair company said they couldn’t get the part (not accurate but if I could find the replacement part but they couldn’t, I couldn’t possibly trust them to do the repair properly). So next option was to buy a new washer. I went to American Freight (formerly Sears scratch and dent store) in Bridgeville PA. I found a washer that was pretty much exactly what I wanted for an extremely reasonable amount of money. Zack the salesman was super helpful. I was in luck the washer was to be delivered the next day. I couldn’t believe it. Unfortunately the next day the delivery person called off sick unexpectedly (the day before his vacation started). Naturally I was upset. This meant I would have to wait an extra 10 days for delivery. I had already been without a washer for about five days now, and the thought of having to go to a laundromat was not what I was envisioning. However, to my unexpected delight Sarah the manager found a solution going over and beyond to get a substitute delivery company to fill in. It did push delivery back a few days, but it was better than waiting longer. From purchase to delivery was less than a week. The delivery company called about 20 minutes ahead, which was super appreciated. That allowed me time to move furnishing, etc., and corral my dogs out of their way. Josh and his coworker (John?) couldn’t have been more polite and professional. The washer is currently going through its first (test) cycle. Assuming that everything is good, I could not be more pleased. Highly highly recommend doing business with American Freight!”
“We needed a new washer and dryer. My wife and I went to multiple stores and did some online research to figure out what we needed and get some price points. We stopped by Dormont appliance and met our salesperson Wayne. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. After speaking with him and going over a few things we were told by other stores salesman about some products, it was a clear we found the store where we wanted to spend our money. They had the best overall price for the washer and dryer we bought. Easy no pressure purchase, and easy quick delivery! Definitely top of our list for any future appliance purchases! We went with the GE Profile Washer (PTW700BST0WS) and Dryer (PTD70GBST0WS)Set! So far they are working Great! Thanks to Dormont Appliance and Wayne for a great experience!”
“If you like old school folks who know their skill, work hard and work fast, and you have washer or dryer issues, (I believe he can do some refrigerator and possibly stove issues also), then you need to do yourself a favor and call Greg. We were recommended to him a few years back when our washer broke. He refurbishes and sells old machines, and also repairs them. We bought one from him and never have had an issue until a week or so ago. Greg responds quickly and we've never had to wait long for him to come out. He's a one man band, beyond reasonable in cost, and as honest as they get. Greg is an absolute gem. I am so grateful and have recommended him several times to my friends and family who also use him.”

When my dryer died 6 months later, I bought a Whirlpool dryer, also sight unseen. I can't recommend Heckman's enough. I got two like-new appliances for less that I was quoted to repair my old ones.”

“Ed from Delivery was very helpful. Here is my tale of woe. Our fridge in our garage was on the fritz. I ordered a new one from Lowe's. Apparently I ordered from the Bethel Park store although I swear this was unintentional as I thought I was just ordering from "Lowes" and not a specific store. Ed called me to explain that his store didn't have any stock. He then tried to find another model that would work. Unfortunately, we wanted to stick with the one we had ordered. Ed warned me that it might take a few weeks to get it, but that he would check everyday. A few days later he found there was one in stock for us! He had it delivered the next day.”
