“This was my 1st time here. They have a nice selection of pet treats, toys and first aid. I needed styptic powder for my dogs chipped nail. They had a few different options and for a reasonable price. The staff is very friendly.”

“What a perfect place to stop for a hot sandwich on our road trip! Extraordinarily dog friendly- they not only had a cooling mat for him to relax on while we ate outside in the sunshine, but the owner came out to give our puppy a sweet peanut butter treat. Our food was excellent! ?”

“Always a great experience. Staff are more than welcoming and we've been going there for years. Staff has changed over the years, but the original Staff have long relationships with the regular customers and that makes for a great experience. If you have any questions, they are more than willing to go the extra mile to get the information you require. I highly recommend this store for anyone looking anything pet related or for any feed you may require. They also carry a good amount of tools and also trailer tires and lubricants. Great place to shop.”

“ALL THE STARS.
This morning, 2019: We hadn't been there in more than a week, when suddenly a mandatory overtime shift left us in the lurch. As we pulled into the parking lot in the wee hours of the morning, my dog was SO excited to realize where he was! I barely got him to contain his enthusiasm as we waited for the center to open. And, I didn't even know if we'd have to drive right back home, since we definitely weren't expected this morning. But without even a heads-up, the owner still welcomed us with a big smile when we arrived. Of course they'd make room for my overly enthusiastic puppy! What a relief! And now, I'll be able to sleep tonight, because my dog will be tired after a wonderful, active day, when he could have been stuck alone in his room for as much as 8 hours - something we really didn't want to do to him!
This place is a godsend. They clearly love the dogs, and the dogs love them. They kept our boy the weekend we were out of town, trimmed his nails when they noticed that needed doing, and even shared video of our pup playing in the pool with the other dogs! Raising a happy, healthy puppy is so much easier knowing we have the support of the amazing staff at Valley Dog!
10/22/24 Update: Could I have more stars to give them, please? They're still our go-to caregiver and our dog's second family. I telework now, so he only gets to go when we're out of town and he needs to board - but he's every bit as excited to get there, bursting with joy as soon as we reach the neighborhood, and tries to drag us inside as soon as he's out of the car. We feel so incredibly lucky to have these people in our life to provide such amazing care for our boy whenever we have to go away.

“Purchased a miniature poodle here in June of 2019. Bonnie was the woman who took care of us. It’s been years and I still remember her name because that’s how caring and thoughtful she was. I visited the store multiple times and all the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. My poodle is the most amazing dog. She’s 3 now!”

“Have never had a bad experience my kids absolutely love to see all of the animals. The owner is very knowledgeable and priceses are definitely the best I've seen especially for a facility that has so many animals to care for. As soon as we walk in the store we are always gretted not only by the employees but the beauty that loves to sit on the railing definitely makes my day to see such a great place to not only shop but for my children to see all the amazing animals and learn so much from the staff. My tortoise definitely loves the new home we purchased today she is making herself comfortable.”
“Purchased a package deal. Was told after, that one vaccine needed a follow-up booster and would have to return in four weeks. That was not a problem. The problem was that I had to pay for follow-up vaccine at ala carte price. The follow-up should have been included with the original package since there was no prior notice of separate charge”

“I am so incredibly happy with the job that Mei did- cocker spaniels are extremely high maintenance and unfortunately my pup has a lot of matting on this visit. Mei did an incredible job taking her time on him to preserve what she could of his length and even where it needed to be adjusted she did a seamless job blending- can not wait to go back to her!”
“My favorite store for my pets needs and their favorite treats, and toys. Also the staff are amazing. Jane is such a sweetheart, her and another lady that i can't remember her name at this exact moment, but the two of them are such a delight to see. When I see they are working it brings a huge smile to my face. The rest of the staff are great as well, but these two ladies are who i deal with the most. Petco also offers a rewards program. If you sign up with your number and email, you get discount prices on select items, after spending a certain amount you receive a $5.00 coupon in the app that can be used online or in store. They also have price match. If you find the price cheaper elsewhere, and show them, they will honor the lower price. Great store and location.”
“Bought my little baby from pet wonderland in Wilkes Barre and he fits in our family. He's so spoiled the lady who took care of us was very understanding in what I was looking for in an animal.
