“I attended a birthday party here but also helped with set up and breakdown.

The venue is not visible from the road as its hidden behind the 7Eleven and pizzeria. A private parking lot fits a good amount of cars. It’s a single level hall with a separate reception area up front and a windowless dining area thereafter. I’d guesstimate it can fit around 200 people.

Set up started the night before but continued the next day about 3 hours prior to the party. Being July, it was very muggy out and the a/c was either on at a high temp or not on at all, so setting up was uncomfortable. The tile floors were also very slippery - a result of the a/c’s temp it tuns out, as after it was on at a normal temp, the slipperiness dissipated.

They have 10-seater rounds, high tops, chairs, a bar space and WiFi. I was told there was no stove or oven to warm things up which would’ve been helpful.”

“Went on a daytime date with my husband to Scent & Sip, and it was lovely! There were a lot of scents and options for things to make. The owner was very nice and knowledgeable, and staff was friendly and helpful. It was a fun date!”

“My husband and I had the most incredible wedding day at Philander Chase Knox Estate in June of 2025! The venue is absolutely beautiful with the most scenic backdrop, nestled in Valley Forge National Park. The tent provided an incredible open and airy space to celebrate with all of our loved ones. The valet parking was perfect for guest parking and the staff was incredible. We could not recommend Philander Chase Knox Estate enough!”

“Ceremony off site but reception at terrain! And I meannnnn, idk, what can’t I say about them?! Everything, and I mean everything, was amazing. Guests raved about how beautiful the venue was, how good the food was (shoutout to the chefs!), drinks were amazing (people said the espresso martini was the best they’ve ever had!), and just their overall experience. I don’t have enough adjectives to describe how great the day was. My husband and I’s experience was also amazing from the moment we toured. We got Eileen as our event manager and she truly needs a review of her own but hands down the best person ever, she was so organized, and also very personable. She literally handled any and all hiccups that happened along the way (like when my photobooth didnt show up) and she found a solution instantly, I am so grateful for her. Fernanda my wedding attendant was also amazing, whole staff honestly was great. Terrain was the most perfect reception space for us and we (along with all of our guests) wish we could do it all over again!! It was truly the best day. Will be coming back to the cafe for many anniversary years to come ?”

“We got married at the end of August at the Ballroom at Ellis Preserve and had an incredible wedding! We worked with Megan from the beginning, and she helped make the planning process very seamless. Megan has incredible attention to detail and always answered our questions in a timely matter.

My bridesmaids and I chose to get ready in the bridal suite with the early 8am entry. This was an amazing decision as it set up good vibes for the rest of the day at the venue. Our AM bridal attendant, Hayley, was very sweet and helpful.

Our Maitre D, Nikki, did an excellent job coordinating the day-of timeline with the vendors and keeping everything running smoothly. We received so many compliments from our guests regarding the venue space, the food quality, the friendly staff, and much more. Additionally, with two hotels in walking distance, it’s an ideal location for guests. We couldn’t recommend the Ballroom at Ellis Preserve enough.”

“My first wedding and reception took place here. It is a beautiful location. The Atmosphere is wonderful. They offer a selection of caterers and bands. Our Minister blessed our wedding and our wedding dinner. We had 100 guests. A friend of ours played the flute as a prelude to our wedding and as our wedding party walked up the aisle. We had a four course dinner and 3 dessert options. The band played marvelously.”

“I have photographed many lovely weddings at the Duportail House in Chesterbrook, PA. This property is gorgeous for a wedding! Perfect backdrops for photography include an old barn, a porch with ornate fencing, a bridge with a creek, old trees, and manicured gardens. You step back in time in this 1740 farmhouse. The bride and groom had their cocktail hour before the ceremony, and then the ceremony behind the old barn. The light swept across the barn perfectly and was stunning on the bride's face during their vows. This charming venue is run efficiently and is a historical treasure. Perfect for an intimate wedding!”

“A lovely venue with warm and caring staff!

The team here is phenomenal. I honestly felt like I was being cared for by my own family before and the day of our wedding. Jenn is hands down the sweetest, most down to earth and no nonsense planner ever - ensuring our day went smoothly. If there were any snags in the day, I wouldn't know because Jenn had it handled already!

I also feel grateful for her little pep-talk before I walked down the aisle - calmed the nerves easily.

The food is fantastic and plentiful and I'm still hearing praise from the guests about the food. My nephews figured out how to maximize cocktail hour apps, finding a cozy little spot by the kitchen - ready to pounce on the next platter that went out!

Our attendant Karen, was so kind in making sure myself and my husband were well fed. My family and guests felt so cared for by all the catering staff - I wish I had gotten all their names, because they deserve all the recognition!

Kevin and Jenn (& co.) made sure the dinner service went on without any difficulties - and with some well fed guests, everyone was ready to dance and party the night away. Our guests really enjoyed the unique location and feel of the space - made more lovely by all the people in it.

I highly recommend this venue for any soon to be wed couples out there!”

“Potential renters need to understand that this is a special, historical, volunteer-run venue and they have specific reasons for what they expect, what they do and how they do it because they're a non-profit. Yes, there are three lavatories, the kitchen is in the basement, and it's best for intimate celebrations - they're upfront about these things. If the space doesn't work for your needs, there are plenty of Red Lobsters, VFW's, and country club spaces you can rent in the area. Don't blame them for being a non-profit with limited hours - the women running the space do the best they can while being full-time professionals and mothers. My daughter-in-law had her reception here years ago and it was lovely. She read the rules, asked good questions and reached out in a timely manner. No venue is perfect, but the Saturday Club is a piece of history and you should feel honored that it exists for you to make memories in.”

“A beautiful public open space. People can rent out the venue for weddings and events, but it's a massive greenhouse with many different plants open to anyone.”

“Good evening Family. I visited the Ardmore Food Pantry today with my neighbor, Sadie. Ardmore Food pantry is in St Mary's. This was my first time. We were required to bring our own shopping bags. St Mary's serves the community on Mondays 10:30 am to noon and 5:30 to 7pm also on Mondays. They also serve a delicious dinner at 5:30 pm. They have tickets for a raffle which you do not have to purchase and you win prizes. They have free coffee, cookie bars, Danish and blueberries and strawberries to sample before you gather your free items of food. Everyone is very friendly here. We sat around the breakfast table first then we sat at the table #5. They call each table and then you get up with your bags and collect your food and place in your bag. They have volunteers to hand out and monitor each person obtaining their food choices. There are rest rooms here. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot. I had a good experience today. Have a good night, be active and mobile especially for people over the age of 50 years.”

“I recently got married at Anthony Wayne House - what a wonderful experience! I could not have asked for a better wedding venue or overall experience. Lynn was our coordinator and she was absolutely amazing! She was prompt when answering our questions and made sure our wedding day went seamlessly. She helped to make our wedding planning easy and stress-free. It did end up raining right before our ceremony started, however Lynn was able to quickly and efficiently coordinate having the ceremony inside - it turned out perfect! Jeffery A. Miller (JAM) Hospitality Group was also amazing. The food was fantastic and the service was incredible. The venue itself was stunning and made for an unforgettable night!”

“We held a memorial service and luncheon here and I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful venue. Such a beautiful setting surrounded by lovely trees, gorgeous light. “This place is great, they have programs for kids and also pick up soccer 3 times a week for 16 and older I believe. I have been going there for years, my brother has been going there since he was like 6 years old, very clean place and the staff are awesome. Highly recommend this Non Profit soccer experience.”

“Awesome spot to host a medium size party - 30-50 people! Full kitchen with two ovens/ranges, bar area, and plenty of space for tables and chairs. Searched all over the area (we were coming from the Manayunk/Roxborough area) and had a hard time finding anything nice where we could bring our own food. Look no further for an affordable Hall rental that looks so sweet! Bring all your own food and drinks, etc. No hidden fees. The hall rental manager, Rick, was so easy to work with and accommodating!
The only tough thing is the parking. They can fit maximum 27 cars and you have to block people in. For the price, though, it can’t be beat! Thank you for offering an affordable option for us to host a luncheon for our daughter‘s christening.
The kids all loved the creek out back. In nicer weather you could do an indoor/outdoor party for sure.”

“Gorgeous venue! The flow of the rooms makes it feel like a comfortable, but elegant setting, like you’re hosting a garden party in your own historic mansion. The bridal suite has some stunning and unique features, and the history of the house and gardens are a bonus. Definitely a top wedding option for the area - it feels secluded while close to anything you need. Thanks to Sydney for especially fast and clear communication!”

“The Clover Market actually moves around the area, and the one I went to this year was held in Collingswood. I heard it was the only one in Jersey this year. They claim there are 100 vendors, but I really don't feel like it was that many, though I saw that there were a few booths were artists split a booth. Now, this ain't your neighborhood grandma using Michael's ribbons on sale with her 25% coupon to make wreaths that you slap onto your front door. For many of the booths, it was gallery quality, and the prices reflect as such. Everyone was super, super friendly. My favorite booth was the guy who handcrafted amazing whirligigs. I had to buy a flying pig that used bird feathers to catch a breeze. Stunning, and for $40, I had to get it.”

“I’ve been fortunate to attend our companies offsite here for the past two years, and it’s been a fantastic experience both times. We reserve one of the conference rooms for a few days, and everything from start to finish has always been smooth and well-organized.

The staff really stands out. This year, Karima (Front Desk and Housekeeping Supervisor) was especially memorable - super energetic, friendly, and genuinely fun to interact with. Every time I passed by, she had me laughing. Honestly, every staff member we interacted with was welcoming and attentive, which made a big difference for a group event like ours.

We had food catered during our sessions, and the team did a great job making sure everything was set up on time, refreshed as needed, and cleared quickly. They also had thoughtful snacks and goodies available between sessions, which everyone appreciated.

The room itself was perfect. Clean, comfortable, and I had an awesome view of the pond - it was partially frozen when I arrived and had thawed out by the time I left, which was a cool touch. I also stopped by the front desk for directions at one point, and they were quick and helpful.

One of the highlights was a private dinner we hosted on-site in the mansion - the food was delicious, and the drinks were a great addition to the experience.

Overall, this is a great spot for corporate offsites or events. The combination of the setting, service, and attention to detail makes it easy to recommend. Already looking forward to being back next year.”

“Our April wedding reception at Flourtown Country Club exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we started planning, everything felt seamless and organized. Lauren was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process and patiently answered my million questions, always making me feel supported and reassured.

The venue itself was everything I envisioned for our wedding day...bright, airy, elegant, and so welcoming. The veranda was beautiful, and our guests loved spending time out on the golf deck during the reception. We received so many compliments on the food all night long, and it meant so much that the chef even came out to introduce himself personally.

The staff truly made us feel spoiled the entire evening. They were constantly checking on us, making sure we had everything we needed, and were completely on top of every detail throughout the day. We were able to fully relax and enjoy every moment because of how attentive and professional everyone was.

“Last summer my fiancé, Mom and I toured Ridgeland Mansion and we fell in love with it immediately. We had our wedding this past Saturday, 8/30/25. The mansion is the Cancer Support Community of Greater Philadelphia and is truly a hidden gem.

A few things that stood out to us:
• Location – It’s right in Philly, tucked away in West Fairmount near The Mann, but does not feel like you’re anywhere near the city. We wanted close to where we live and our families but not a city feel.
• Flow – The layout was so natural. You enter from one side and move through the spaces as the evening goes on—it just makes sense and feels effortless.
• Privacy – Only one wedding happens at a time, which meant the entire property was ours for the day. We had the mansion (where we got ready), the barn, and the tented reception space.
• Hospitality – From the very beginning, Jenn was such a joy to work with. We shared our budget and she went above and beyond to make our day truly amazing. Her entire team deserves a shout-out too—every single person was so kind and welcoming, which made the experience even more special.

We also held our rehearsal dinner at the venue, the night before, which made everything feel seamless and stress-free on the wedding day.

I can’t say enough about how wonderful our experience was—it was the perfect place to celebrate, and Jenn and her team made it unforgettable.”

“I was here once for a mock jury trial and the club catered for the lunch. The food was good and we were able to enter one of the bar areas. The staff were friendly and professional. This day outside the club I asked about getting a membership and it works like other clubs with 2 people sponsoring you.”

“We are absolutely thrilled with everyone at Artesano Iron Works. I approached them about making a unqiue set of andirons as a surprise for my husband. The process of figuring out a tricky design was fun and extremely well-managed. The andirons themselves are gorgeous and exactly what we dreamed of. Every aspect of the project was a pleasure, with responsive, kind, and fast professionals through every step of the process. We'd do another project with them in a heartbeat!”

“I was compelled to write a review for the 1912 club to share my great experience. I have attended the club on two separate occasions. I played in a golf outing and I was impressed. The course was challenging and in great shape. I played this course years ago before it became the 1912 Club and it was night and day as far as drastic change goes. I also attended a wedding there last fall and came away with another positive experience. The staff was friendly and professional. The food did not disappoint as well. “Ok seriously, 10/10. This place was wonderful and the staff was so incredibly helpful - big shoutout to Ashley she was beyond wonderful. I came in with my 11 month old baby to make him a birthday plate and he is so active so you can imagine this was not an easy feat. I was so nervous but my goodness was Ashley the sweetest and most helpful!!! I felt so comfortable there the whole time, they were so patient, accommodating, and helpful, all my nerves went away. Also willing to answer any questions or show you techniques to achieve what you want. Definitely recommend!”

“Just spent the weekend at Hotel Fiesole. Was recommended to stay there by a family member as I am not local and had a nearby function to attend. I was not disappointed, I found everything from my room, restaurant food and staff to be exceptional. I will definitely try to make it back!”
