“Fairmount Bicycles was great to work with, and with such a great location, we came right off the bike path, on to Fairmount, and rode right up to the shop.. A very nice experience!”

“As always, my experience at Trek, Manayunk, was positive. I had some issues with my tires and without hesitation, Drew took my bike and made the necessary repairs. I appreciate that the work was done on the spot, because I live 25 minutes from the shop, and did not have to come back to pick up the bike. Also, I am now able to ride weekend.”

“There’s a joke (even a play!) about bike shop employees being… less than welcoming. Not at Keystone Bikes. These folks break the stereotype completely. They are genuinely kind, helpful, and respectful, no matter your experience level or whether you fit the typical “cyclist” mold.

I’m so glad I bought my new e-bike from them. The whole experience was smooth, no pressure, and actually enjoyable. I recommend Keystone without reservation. Great people, great shop.”

“Purchased March 2023 - 2022 Giant Revolt Advanced Pro 1 – Blacko Purchased this gravel bike as a replacement for my 20 year old carbon road bike to provide the greatest flexibility for my area (Delco) and interest (road/gravel/mtb). It gets more road use for sure, but have taken it on single track and unpaved roads in my area. There was a persistent creak coming from the bottom bracket that started ~50 miles or so. After a few trips to the shop where they reinstalled with no success, they reached out to Giant, a new bottom bracket was shipped and installed for free and the issue has been silent for 1500+ miles at this point. Credit to them listening to me (and my complaining) and never hesitating to try and figure it out. I spoke directly with 2-3 techs, and they all took me on test rides to isolate the sound. Some of the lighter (weight) techs (I weigh 200lbs+) could not recreate the noise, but they still listened and worked to provide a solution. I waited this long on the review to make sure it was fixed, and hoping to not jinx it…”

“My bike was due for a tuneup, and one of the cables was short, and i wasn’t able to use all my gears. The tech took the bike, put it up on the lift and diagnosed my problem right away. He said it would be due Friday and I arrived at opening, and it was done. Great professional service!”

“This bike shop is the real deal, and a hidden gem in the City of Philadelphia. They carry the Retrospect bike brand.
I dropped my 1970's Schwinn Steel frame road bike for a derailer and cable repair. The estimate was $100. But the actual repair cost including a new derailer was $97.18, amazing quality of work and under the estimate. It was completed in one day. I highly recommend South Philly Bike Shop.”

“despite some negative reviews, this is a good store. Don’t expect the shop to be open all the time, but the owner is very knowledgeable. This is a Brompton store, not just your regular bike shop. If you like your Brompton, you will like the shop”

“This review is for my wonderful SE Draft. SE is one of Advanced Sports' brands. My SE Draft is a great bike and I love it! I have the blue/red version in the almost-a-kid's-bike size. I named her Sadie. The draft is a single speed and while it's taken some time to get used to, now I wouldn't want to be without it. I feel so cute and stylish on this bike (okay and safe too); now I just need a matching helmet. Seriously: this a great bike for getting around town, running errands, etc. My only complaint is the grips that make my hands sweat but that's an easy fix (on the bike, not my hands).”

“Rented a mountain bike from Cadence and the experience was awesome. Pre-reserved the bike and signed the waiver online and the bike was waiting for me when I showed up. Staff led me through an overview of the bike and made a few adjustments. The bike performed amazingly. Took a 13 mile trip through the Wissahickon and the bike stood up to some serious ascents, descents, logs, and boulders, giving me a lot of confidence in the equipment. For $20/hour (or $80/day) to ride a $3k bike I felt like it was an excellent option for someone who is looking to get into the sport, traveling without a bike of their own, or just wants the convenience. The Landings Kitchen is right across the bridge so you can drop the bike off and wander over and grab a beer and relax in the shade! Highly recommend for friendly and knowledgeable staff, great atmosphere, and hassle free experience!”

“Went here to get my bike fixed. told them what I needed, they gave me options, told me they could fix a broken spoke on my front wheel, and didn’t try to upsell me on parts I did not need. Great experience. Also, they did the work in a few hours awesome!”

“I recently went to this bike shop to get a new bike. Mike helped me pick out the new bike and accessories. I don't have much knowledge on bikes, so his knowledge was very much appreciated! He was also very patient on my first test ride, as I didn't understand how the gears worked at first. He was happy to explain how the gears worked and even encouraged me to try again.

He let me take my time in the store and was overall very chill and pleasant. He was happy to anwser all of my questions and concerns. As a very shy person, his friendly demeanor was greatly appreciated during the whole process of buying a bike.”

“Twice I have gotten a flat on my way to work and both times someone really friendly had me back on my bike before the end of my lunchbreak. Carrying my bike up and down the steps is a struggle, but this time the friendly fixer also lifted it out before I went on my way. Thank you!”
