Horrible. Despite horrendous reviews I took the trip to the city. I have to say if i could give negative stars I would. Every negative review's valid....honestly the reviews were far too kind. Brand new pair of van classics in box and Michael kors gabby design never ever used I was offered $7 CASH! They must take me for an idiot. I'm to believe combined they are selling both items for under 25 bucks? I hate to see what they would offer you for something used. Geez. Please don't waste the gas to get there. Staff is unpleasant and rude. You ll get offered pennies. And read other reviews bc I did but didn't take heed. They are the worst.

I took 11 items - men's T-shirts, buttoned down shirts, & a sweatshirt - to Buffalo Exchange for cash. With this place you never know what they'll take, & what you'll have to end up lugging to another secondhand resale or back home. Pleasantly surprised that 4 shirts - 2 T's (one being Lez Zeppelin), a brown buttoned down shirt, & a Guess Jean's long sleeved T - were accepted. $14.75. The most I've ever gotten from there. For a Saturday afternoon, it wasn't a long wait. And both associates that took care of me were professional & pleasant. My only qualm - they weren't able to just donate the clothing they weren't able to give me cash for. It would help to have a bin there for clothing, shoes, accessories, etc. that Buffalo Exchange can't use, & can be donated elsewhere. And so the customers can just get rid of everything in one shot. Win-win for everyone.

Employees are always pretty nice--my main issue with the place is the pricing of 95% of their products; I get they're a business but you can find brands like Shein, Zara, H&M, and Forever 21 for $8-15 here. As for their vintage, pieces can range anywhere from $12-40, with most in the $15-30 range. I found dingy, yellowed white vintage shirts with graphics for about $16-18, with wear and tear along the collar and other edges. I would say fast fashion comprises about 40% of their overall inventory, sadly, and 95% of their 1/2 price sale section. Most of the racks are also packed to the point where sifting through them is a bit inconvenient and tiring on the arms.

I've had multiple encounters with the staff at buffalo exchange and everyone is super nice and personable. Today I spoke with Acia at length and she is particularly a credit to not only the store but the company! Love stopping by

When I did the first round of interviews for Buffalo Exchange, the lady that interviewed me was really nice even though she interviewed me like 20 minutes late than she was supposed to. She invited me to come back for a second round of interviews the next day and I did. I arrived 11 minutes late due to another interview I had prior and was rushing to Buffalo. When I walked in a different lady came up to me and asked if I was here for a second round of interviews and I said yeah. She proceeded to say in the rudest way possible that she won’t proceed with my interview because I was 11 minutes late and said bye. Literally didn’t even give me a chance to explain myself. It’s fine if you don’t want to proceed due to punctuality but there was a better way to say that. It was rude and disrespectful. How are you working in customer service if you can’t approach someone in an effective way?So your employees get to interview me extremely late and have me waiting in a seat for 15-20 minutes, but when I come 10 minutes late for a valid reason I get dismissed? Everyone there is mostly nice, but that experience really threw me off and it was honestly ridiculous.

Honestly, don't come here if you want to sell your stuff. They refuse high-quality items because they're size exclusionary. They're doing very little for sustainability by not taking anything that doesn't fit some girl that's a size 3.

I used to love buying and selling here! I religiously sell 3 times a year and shop when I'm there typically but the last few times I've gone the selection has been just sad and overpriced. This most recent time the person doing the buying was so in your face rude (even though they did buy most of my items) it was just a really sour experience that will probably keep me away from now on

They are just a little bit of snobbish attitudes when it comes to the amount they offer you for expensive clothing Name Brands you bring into their overcrowded store/pawn shoppe...

While the selection is great, I urge anyone considering employment here to reconsider. I found the management unprofessional, if not entitled, and felt like I was being talked down to throughout the employment process(this is also my experience selling here). After being offered a job after two interviews, I was asked to come in within a couple days to get initiated. On my fault, I thought I was scheduled for 1:30 as opposed to 1 PM. I arrived at 1:25 PM, and was promptly informed I was fired. I wasn’t asked any explanation, and this was much before I was even able to work a shift here. This was specifically after being told their policy allowed for three “absences” before an employee was asked to leave. All the while, I had never received a text, email or call from management to inform me of the actual time, or to follow up with me after I missed that time. While I’m aware of their previous experiences with tardiness, I found it particularly unfair, if not shocking that I was immediately fired after a minor mix up like this. This has not been my experience working at other companies, and for a company that prides itself in acceptance, I found myself feeling exceptionally mistreated.

Have been to this Buffalo Exchange several times since they’ve changed locations and have not been able to stumble across anything worth buying every single time. Everything is so overpriced and the selection of clothing seems to only consists of fast fashion items and barely anything vintage or even manufactured before the 2000s… Sucks because this used to be one of my favorite thrift stores in Philly. I always left with at least something! But that has not been the case as of lately unfortunately. Not sure what happened to this place… You can probably find better things and prices at a Goodwill or Salvation Army honestly. Unless you want second hand H&M and Forever 21 items that’s like $2-$5 off the original price then there’s just no point of shopping here in my opinion.

Had a solid selling experience here. Since it was my first time they explained the process and it really makes sense - expect a lot of stuff to get rejected because they need to be able to sell it and they have standards as to fabric (if it’s paper thin men’s wear then they are gonna consider that, for instance). I really feel like a lot of people who rated poorly don’t get what this is - it’s not a recycling program, they need to be able to flip it reasonably quickly. I did this because I know 90% of the price on this stuff goes to the labor associated with flipping it. Them doing that comes at a premium, hence the aggressive cut.I was impressed how efficient the process was, they had clothing clipped with a price and totaled pretty instantly once it was my turn. They also go figure lean a little hipster and reserved so it’s possible some of the people folks think are rude lean introverted.

The staff here were so friendly and helpful! They had a WONDERFUL selection of size 10 women’s shoes which is a GOD-SEND. I found 3 beautiful dresses and a pair of boots for $80!
