“This cozy plant store has the best vibes, plant options and helpful team! They host a wide range of fun classes and the most delicious baked good pop ups. The team is genuinely so helpful and won't up sell you. I once came in looking for biochar for my veggie raised beds and jumped on the chance to buy a soil mix with some biochar. Their team insisted that I look for a more concentrated mix elsewhere and reminded me endlessly that they accept returns. I ended up using that soil mix with biochar on houseplants and haven't needed to water them as often! 10/10 recommend popping by.”

“I’m from Ohio but I’ve been looking for the Gobfrey whale shark Jellycat for ages because my girlfriend wanted it but it’s always sold out online. I was finally able to get the real one for the orginal price and I can give it to her for Valentine’s Day now. The packaging it came in was so cute and it even came with some gummy nerd clusters. This place is great!!!”
“OMG!! What I cannot say about this neighborhood staple!! My mother bought the fabric to sew my sister and I matching summer outfits 70+yrs ago. I purchased my fabric to make my first a-line skirt and all my roll clothes fabrics (when this place was James&Jones)! The creek of the original wood floors to the smell of fabric is a memory I cherished and takes me back to when Germantown has Buster Brown, Duval's Hoagie shop, Rowells Department Store and you didn't need to go out of the familiar to buy anything ❤️❤️”

Not only did Kazan ( the owner) spend plenty of time going over our options, he chose great looking fixtures which were delivered earlier than promised. When I came time for the installation, I contacted him with questions from our electricians. He answered the questions and emailed me instruction sheets for the electricians to use. That's service!!!”

“Bargains to hunt and you don't need to get a license to bag some deals. Curious collection of items both one offs and bulk from light bulbs to tents to tile adhesive tv sets or 10$ brand new Levi's. Couches, tables, chairs, tools... If you hate the incipient waste and mark up of prices in today's society or need 300 chalk marking lines, look no further... You can look further, but I mean come on it's right there on Washington, why drive elsewhere...9.5/10 staff deserves an A.”
“I'm very particular about wallpaper and when I began searching for the perfect seamonster/maritime themed wallpaper I knew it wasn't going to be easy. Shortly after walking into Colonial Wallcoverings Paul got right to the point by interrogating me on my entire family lineage, why I'd been to Israel despite my not being Jewish and of course the ins and outs of the Tom Wait's back catalogue. After a brief 3 hours the deal was done and the elusive wallpaper for my new Philly pad was on its way. He even set me up with Gordon the Irish Wallpaper God for the install.I will never buy wallpaper from anybody other than Colonial Wallcoverings for else for the rest of my days.
