Long In the Tooth is a fantastic, family-owned record shop in the heart of Philadelphia. It has a large, well-organized, and constantly growing selection of new and used vinyl, CDs, cassettes, books, and movies. The inventory displays an impressive range across metal, jazz, country, hip hop, punk, and pop, with a good used and rare selection. The people are friendly, knowledgeable, and super friendly, paying good money for good collections. The store is accessible, though full of shelves and bins. It is considered an essential stop for record shopping in Philly and is highly recommended.
This place rocks! Been my go-to since they opened. Went in recently asked to order a Cecil Taylor album for my kid, Nick looked at me and said, “Like this?”
That doesn’t happen just anywhere. There’s something special about this place. Check it out.
