Penn Campus Recreation, located at 3701 Walnut St, Philadelphia, is a key part of wellness and fitness for the University of Pennsylvania community. The center features well-maintained facilities, including the Pottruck Health & Fitness Center and the Fox Fitness Center, providing a welcoming space for exercise and leisure. It offers a variety of programs tailored to different needs, such as group exercise classes, personal training, and swim lessons. Many families appreciate the clean environment and organized equipment. However, visitors have noted that the weight room is too small for the current number of gym-goers, making it difficult to access equipment during peak times. Additionally, the basketball courts require better maintenance, as they can be slippery. Despite these concerns, the facility remains a vibrant community hub where students, faculty, and staff can engage in sports and the pursuit of a balanced lifestyle. Current health measures include mask-wearing during exercises, except in aquatic areas, and the requirement to show identification and a green pass for entry. Overall, Penn Campus Recreation is an important resource for those seeking to stay active and connected.
Have been using the facility for the summer sessions and it has been very crowded. I can't imagine what it is like during the school year. There is a variety of equipment but it could use a retrofit. Bathrooms are clean and staff are nice .

Weight room is extremely busy. So choose the times wisely. They have a lot of rooms in different floors witch can be a bit confusing and a hassle to move from floor to floor to do different workouts. The equipment is are new and in good condition though
