The hotel's inviting, intimate, and cool aesthetic, reminiscent of "Mad Men," adds to its charm. Its location is a major asset, being very conveniently close and literally a five-minute walk from the Philadelphia Museum of Art, making it a strong recommendation for museum visits. It is also close to lovely restaurants, shops, and other attractions, easy for getting everywhere in the city, though noted as a bit further from the city center. The hotel offers useful amenities like a little convenience store in the lobby selling the best snacks, food, aspirin, and deodorant, plus free coffee and cool water jugs with cold water for the rooms. The quiet, not busy lobby on a less busy street and the availability of cheap parking nearby are additional benefits. Guests strongly and highly recommend The Maj, with many stating they will definitely be back.

Recommend this hotel for visits to the art museum. Great customer service at check-in. Ezzy, at the check-in desk was extra helpful and hooked me up with information about where to park.
