The Maj Hotel is a spotless and excellent boutique hotel in Philadelphia, praised for its extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive staff who go the extra mile. Guests highlight the very comfortable, super sleek, nice, bright, and cheerful rooms that are very clean and nicely appointed, featuring the most comfortable beds and great city views. The hotel's inviting, intimate, and cool aesthetic, reminiscent of "Mad Men," adds to its charm. Its location is a major asset, being very conveniently close and literally a five-minute walk from the Philadelphia Museum of Art, making it a strong recommendation for museum visits. It is also close to lovely restaurants, shops, and other attractions, easy for getting everywhere in the city, though noted as a bit further from the city center. The hotel offers useful amenities like a little convenience store in the lobby selling the best snacks, food, aspirin, and deodorant, plus free coffee and cool water jugs with cold water for the rooms. The quiet, not busy lobby on a less busy street and the availability of cheap parking nearby are additional benefits. Guests strongly and highly recommend The Maj, with many stating they will definitely be back.
Incredible location: easy walk to Philadelphia Art Museum, The Rodin, The Barnes, the Calder, and the Franklin Institute. Minimum but very effective and attentive staff.

I spoke with Rezzy at the front desk over the phone and not only was she incredibly friendly and welcoming, she went above and beyond to assist me when I had a booking error. I will definitely be staying at The Maj hotel the next time I'm in Philly!
