The building features a reliable maintenance team, in-unit laundry, and some units with great views, especially corner units. Residents appreciate the helpful office staff, particularly in delivering items when sick, and the building’s overall amenities. However, there are some drawbacks. Fire alarms often go off in the early morning, which can be disruptive, and the elevators are sometimes unreliable. The rent for a one-bedroom, one-bathroom unit is considered high, and the building only offers 12-month leases, requiring tenants to pay summer rent or find a subletter. Some residents also find the lack of meaningful community events and the difficulty in getting help with sub-leasing frustrating. Recent renovations and construction, such as the new College House, have obstructed views and the building's images may need updating. The leasing process can feel pressure-filled, especially around lease renewal time in October. Despite these issues, many residents recommend the Radian if the cost is manageable and the amenities are valued. Larger apartments, like four-bedroom, two-bathroom units, are considered reasonably priced and livable with roommates, adding liveliness to the space. Overall, the Radian is a convenient choice with good amenities, but prospective tenants should be aware of occasional disappointments and consider checking other options before deciding.
