Built in a patterned brick style common to the 18th century, Old Trinity Church was completed in 1711, replacing a log meeting house which dated to 1698. The well maintained church is surrounded by numerous 18th and 19th century grave sites and markers, including Civil War Rear Admiral James L Lardner who died in 1881.
