I had an extremely upsetting in-person experience at 622 s 4th st on June 24th. The employee I dealt with was not only unhelpful but shockingly rude going so far as to call me ugly during the interaction. This kind of personal insult is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I expected basic respect, not humiliation. I’ll be reporting this to USPS Consumer Affairs and hope action is taken. No one should be treated like this.

Maria does her job and is a great employee at USPS, and is frankly doing way too much for one person. The other lady that works here sits and scrolls on her phone all day and is rude to customers while barely doing anything. We asked if we could check in our packages with labels as to not leave them on the counter and she rudely said I ain’t doing that so leave it or not, and kept scrolling on her phone like always. Absolute disgrace, she needs to help her colleague and do her job.

I just had a pleasant and quick and caring experience at this post office with the girl that has braces working behind the counter, she was very sweet and quick
I did 10 years in New York and nothing could compare to the crap you deal with and the lines you deal with at a New York City post office. This was a breeze.

Kudos to the lady working in this location (brown, shorter curly hair and glasses). She’s absolutely doing her best despite her employer clearly not caring. There’s usually just one person working at that location, but it’s busy enough for 2-3 staff members. The location could use an overhaul: paint job, fixing building and fixtures, etc. USPS, please do better and care more for your people

I usually do not write reviews but this time I feel like I really need it. I had the most wonderful experience at this store. Had to get a passport in, I was greeted with a clean and welcoming atmosphere. There were no lines, and the staff was super friendly and efficient. A big thank you to Maria—she helped me with all the paperwork and made me feel totally at ease, which was such a relief! I really appreciated her kindness. Overall, I’d say this place deserves a solid 10/10!

One star is too many for this USPS. Only one person was working and the line was lining up to the door. I waited 30 minutes in line for buying two stamps. The clerk was unprofessional and rude when I was there today. She tried to get me purchase certified tracking service for additional fee from just buying a stamp. I just need stamps for two letters and she would not let customers take picture of the stamps on my letter with postage for my personal record. I still have the receipt if I need a proof. What a stupid clerk! If USPS worry customers to sue them for late delivery or mails get lost, then hire competent workers instead this lazy and rude person with bad attitude (clerk #4). I won’t be back to this USPS in Queen Village. Long line with only one clerk working the entire time in addition to this rude and terrible customer service. Don’t go to this USPS if you want fast, efficient service and competent clerk. Go to the one on Dickerson Street.

Went for my infant's passport today. Worried yesterday when I saw other reviews about cancellations and issues but my experience was completely the opposite. And I've had my share of bad USPS experiences in my day. I called the morning of to confirm they were taking the passport appointments today and they said they were. When I went in Maria couldn't have been more helpful and talked through expectations of what would happen next with his passport application and which things to be sure to hang on to if there were any issues. They also made sure to take multiple pictures for the photo service because the system said the first ones they took were not acceptable. Both clerks (I didn't catch the other woman's name who assisted with us) but her and Maria and couldn't have been more kind and helpful with the process.

Never more than one clerk. Wait in line 30 minutes before the clerk tells everyone that they’re closed! Worst post office in Philly.

Don't get your passport here, we've had two appointments cancelled without notice and without any real reason. We were told to go to New Jersey.

I vote this location most improved. After two years of unexplained closures, broken computers, and inadequate staffing this post office is consistently open when it is supposed to be and adequately staffed. It took repeated complaints by Sen Fetterman and Rep. Evans to get it there. If you've had a good, or even just a satisfactory, experience at this post office recently. Please take a moment to recognize that they've come a long way in the last six months, give them a little encouragement, and help them keep up the good work.
