This might be the worst post office I’ve ever been to lol. Why are you still closed at 10am?

As far as our tax dollars are concerned, this is a fully funded and functional post office. As far as this location is concerned, this is a museum. Here is what you can do here:-buy envelopes-buy stamps (maybe)-send a letter-look around and say “wow, ben franklin, what a guy, huh?”what you cannot do here:-mail a package-buy a postal money order-apply for a passport-expect that the hours of operation mean anything to anyone-most other things a post office would do

Never wrote a bad review in mylife. Horrible post office. Just close down already if you’re never gonna be open when you say you are. Rare occasion they were open I was faced with the rudest employees i’ve ever dealt with trying to send a simple letter.

The outside of the post office is beautiful and well preserved, but it doesn’t appear to function like a normal post office. I was excited to mail some postcards from it, but when I went to do so, I was told they don’t have any stamps there. The girl behind the counter had no idea where I could go to purchase any. If you’re going to drop off a letter, make sure you have your own stamps just in case! I found stamps across the street at CVS. #benwouldbedisappointed ?

Limited service post office with questionable hours. Only USPS that does not have an American flag, as an ode to Ben Franklin.

I know this location is still around for historical reasons and that makes sense. However given the very little that they seem to be able to manage when it comes to actually mailing packages, the location should just be a museum and tourist spot at this point. The list of what they can actually ship, regardless if postage is already paid and attached, is significantly shorter than what they cannot ship. You’re pressing your luck if you have anything larger than a standard envelope and even that seems to be burdensome to the staff. The hours are inconsistent and on any given day it may be closed during the posted business hours. At a minimum, it would be great if the very lengthy list of what this post office location cannot do was posted on the USPS website so that people know not to waste their time thinking that a post office location is supposed to be able to do one of its most basic functions - shipping.

A solid post office to deliver mail, buy stamps, and more while simultaneously immersing yourself in history! The decor is styled as with the 18th century, and it's a nice place to pass by if you're a visitor looking to per se mail postcards to friends and family from your visit. If you're local, it doesn't have the complete amenities a post office might have, so for those needs, I would look elsewhere.

Y-I-K-E-S! This was some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. After trying both doors and struggling to get in (surely they would've seen me?) I managed to get inside when someone opened up the door to walk out. I entered ready with my postcard to be stamped as I had read online about this post office being historical and having a special stamp. I asked the woman working -who was either having a bad day or just hates her life and job in general- about getting a stamp and she rbf stared at me and gave me an exasperated "yes." I internally was taken aback but carried on getting my stamp. As I was about to leave a chaperone and some students came in, and the chaperone said "we're just on a tour, can you tell us something about this post office?" (which is clearly a tourist attraction?!) to which she deadpan retorted "it's a post office in the US." Again, I cringed inside before exiting. I understand that this is still a functioning post office and not everyone in the industry wants to be a part of the tourism/hospitality industry as well- but please if you can't deliver half decent customer service you should not be working at this location! It was honestly one of the most horrifying customer service experiences I've witnessed.

Do not waste your time. All of a sudden you can’t send packages over 13oz when I have literally done it twice before. What is the point of being a USPS - quickly, please. It’s always something.
